Good morning Saturday

Postby Ally » 07 Oct 2023, 05:50

Good morning.

Not that I saw much of the weather on my flying visit, I do know it wasn't cold.
But nowhere near as warm as here.
Forecast 34° but it feels lovely and fresh not that stifling 34. 8-)

I'll have a swim mid morning, do some laundry then absolutely nothing for the rest of the day except swipe my kindle pages.

SCD tonight and a Chinese takeaway.

Have a great day.

Morning all :)

Ally, you must need a nice quiet day so I'm glad that's what you have planned :) xx

It's our usual Saturday stuff here, out for brunch, then round to D's. Hoping that Em's mum is ok, not heard any more since yesterday teatime. A is such a lovely lady, I'm very fond of her.....

Have a good day everyone xxx

Morning Ally, Kaz and everyone

Bit cloudy this morning and another warm day forecast. Been hot the last couple of days, and it's due to carry on for the next few days. Rain is forecast from Friday :Hi:

Done the watering of the new plants and will take a couple more cuttings, to add the bank, going down the drive.

I will get the cleaning out of the way this morning. We have a zillion of teeny black flies who have committed suicide by the bathroom light, so they need to go too.

Not sure if we're going down to the bar later, been there a few too many times this week. And rugby is on, so Grumpy might want to stay and watch that instead.

Curry for dinner, almost the end of birthday week

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Good morning all!
Grey here but not cold or rainy.
Not much on today, as the actress said to the bishop.
Apart from getting a paper and maybe going to the butchers.
Saundra, I used to have a Lambretta when i was a kid, a 150.I wish I still had it. Did you know that Vespa (the other big brand of scooter back in the day) is Italian for wasp?
I used to love the smell of the two stroke, and the sound of them.
Have a good day all.

Morning all, we were up and out early as Edward planned to fix the roof of Kellie’s “shed”, part of which blew off in a storm a while back - it was delayed by him being ill. However, the shed itself is not in great nick generally, it came with the house and although we did a job on it when they first moved in, repairing and painting it, it was always intended to just last a couple of years. Both Miss Osc and SIL expressed concern about Edward being on the roof when parts of it are dodgy, and as SIL would like to eventually replace it with a more solid structure, it was decided to leave well enough alone. So we are back home earlier than we thought.

My brother is coming to stay tonight as he is flying to Majorca in the morning. We are going out for an early meal and then back for the rugby. My niece and her husband have gone to Paris for the match, her present for his 50th birthday. I’m not interested in rugby, but do like to see Ireland win!

Morning all :D

Bright and sunny 8-)

We were a bit late getting up, thank goodness it wasn't any later. We'd just finished having our showers when the water pressure dropped to a trickle. There's a notice on the Southern Water website saying they are doing essential maintenance. Ed said there's a big leak with lots of activity going on just round the corner opposite the post office. Fingers tightly crossed they get it fixed sooner rather than later.

Today we need to get the blocks under the bed feet, we did the armchair yesterday which was a doddle, the bed won't be as easy. I was also planning to do some washing, but looks like that will have to wait!!

Hope you all have a good day xx
