Anyway, Hall has put the house into his wife's name! Trying to avoid being taken to the cleaners obviously, even though he says it's because he has a heart condition..

Yes Ollie as in many things there are genuine cases and not so genuine. I believe one was a 9 year old girl. That really is beyond the pale and he should be done for that, it must have been a terrifying experience for her and could have had an influence on her life but a 17 year old is somewhat different. Probably having sex with her boyfriend anyway! I certainly do not propose going to the police about my uncle, been dead a long time anyway

I agree Cromwell, I heard the letter read out and it left you in no doubt it was genuine, as was the trauma she suffered. It also explained very well why she'd left it so long - and Pederito this victim did not go to the police, she just wanted it known he wasn't quite the nice guy everyone seemed to think he was.

But that depends on what he did to her. Rape (if it was rape that he is accused of) is very different to having sex with her boyfriend.

I agree with debih, it really doesn't matter how old he is. He's actually admitted offences against young children and as far as I'm concerned he should be sentenced appropriately.

I didn't comment on the letter because I was concerned that anything I said might be misunderstood, but I thought that, although compelling, it was a bit contrived.

To me it read a bit like a focus group letter - we must get this in, we need to make this clear. However, it did what it intended, it started to topple the dominoes, and for that it has to be noted.
