Good morning.

Another beautiful day forecast. 8-)

A walk along the beach then back to shower etc and check out of the hotel.
We've had two lovely days here. :D

We'll head home after we've picked up a few goodies from the shops. :D

Out to Gambrinus tonight to meet some friends for drinks and dinner. :?

Have a great day.

Morning Ally, morning everyone

Thick fog this morning  Once that clears, we should be in for a good day.

We'll be heading into Ourique soon, hoping it's clearer down the hill :D

I wanted to spray down the drive, but that's going to have to wait until everything is dry, so I'll clean out the wardrobes. They always need a clean, this time of year, keep the mustiness out.

Turkey for dinner

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning both :)

Glad you enjoyed your few days away, Al :) It does sound nice and relaxing - I have promised myself Christmas in the sun one day   xx

Jan we've got half a turkey crown left too, I see curry in our near future 8-) xx

We'll be round to D's this morning, she's still not well so we need to make sure she gets a face to face GP appointment, rather than a phone one. I am worried about her.

My sister and brother-in-law are coming tomorrow, just until Friday lunchtime, so we need some food shopping for veg and bread, and D will need stuff too, so we'll be off to the supermarket! Oh and fingers crossed that B's flight doesn't get cancelled again, and she will actually get away tomorrow!! This Christmas is becoming a bit stressful :?

Have a good day everyone xxx

I will be having turkey again. I roast it in the air fryer. I got a crown which I cut up. Have roast potatoes and parsnips and stuffing.
Tomorow will goto one of the supermarkets, posibly Lidl, to seif they have any small Christmas puddings. I have some brandy cream which

Morning all it’s a wet and blustery one here.

Today is a day of no plans! I’ve got stuff to keep me occupied though, I’ve had a couple of new jigsaws, Ade Edmondson’s autobiography, Joe bought me the most amazing book of Man Utd newspaper articles from over the last 100+ years (Joe has never said in his life that he wanted a book but he said he almost kept this for himself) and a model of Old Trafford to build (Amanda clearly knows me well ), so those are my plans for today.

Quite fancy eating some chocolate too, I’ve only had three After Eights all Christmas

Went to the match with Joe yesterday evening, he had to be persuaded that Boxing Day football is a tradition and he should go as he was certain we’d lose and at 2 nil down at half time I thought we’d soon be heading back down the M6. By the end he was beaming and we’d both pretty much lost our voices, and yet again it was proved that you should always listen to your mother :D

Kaz, I hope you can get D an appointment and that she’ll soon be feeling much better. Fingers crossed for Becky’s flight too.

Have a good day all :)

Morning all, grey skies here and there was a lot of rain overnight. It raining at the moment, but more is forecast. We are having an even lazier day than yesterday, didn’t get up until after 9.30 and haven’t had our showers yet. Absolutely no plan for the day - reading/jigsaw/telly. Might take clothes off the drying rail and leave them ready to iron tomorrow, or I might not…. I really should at least get out for a walk around the block. Edward is currently putting together a playlist for next week’s practice session and asking my opinion on various pieces of music. The music needs to be the correct tempo for each dance, plus our personal taste comes into it too. It’ll be the last of the Christmas playlists! All of us in the group take turns in doing the music.

Jo, great result yesterday (in the end), Edward was happy having sworn fairly vociferously during the first half

Good morning all.

Grey and raining steadily here.
Good result for your lot last night Jo; I would have put money on Villa to win that one.
Kaz and Ally - one day I want to spend Christmas somewhere warm too.

Our son and his gf went to the races at Aintree yesterday - she had four winners!

Not much doing here today. Just a day in reading one of the books I got for Christmas, "Kink" by Dave Davies.

Have a lovely day everyone.

Morning all :)

Wet and dull

Kaz I hope you can get a proper appointment for Di. Fingers crossed for Becky's flight too.

Ed's bubble and squeak was perfect yesterday, he's been an absolute star. There's still a bit of cold meat left so we're going to have it with baked beans and hash browns for dinner today. Bit of a come down, but after all the rich Christmas food it's always nice to go back to basic stuff for a couple of days.

We've still got quite a few things recorded to catch up with so another nice easy day beckons.

Hope you all have a good day xx

Thanks everyone :) Thankfully D is feeling much better today, and as she was insisting on going to Sainsbury's to stock up, we went with her to help - we did offer to go ourselves, with a list, but......

Home now, and waiting for friends to pop round for a cuppa :)

Jen, once my Sis and BiL have left on Friday it will be plain food here too for a while - actually I could murder egg and chips tonight, but we really must use up the Turkey

Kaz, Joe’s kindly offered to finish the turkey for his tea tonight. John and Tom are having spaghetti and meatballs. Not sure what I fancy, maybe some Cornflakes
