Good afternoon all. I have laptop problems so working hard to sort it.

Kaz, that is bloody awful. It would have been quicker by boat! I hope B gets off soon - third time lucky. xx

My son flys with BA for work. He had the topcard as a frequent flyer.
In a phone call earlier ths year, he said that he would lose some of the benefits as he was not doing as many flights.

Then BA came back to him, gave him an upgrade on his membership. some extra points, acess to the VP lounges at any airport
So he has got a good deal. He does not always fly business class and does use otherairlines.
I now he hasrecently been to Tolouse and Singapore for work.

There were an awful lot of people there.

Mario is from a large family, although he never married and was an uncle to our local mayor.

Quick beer at the bar on the way home, will be heading down to David and Rita's in a mo.

Hope B got off Kaz xx

Sorry for the sad news, Jan xx

Jo, good grief

We would certainly never use BA now, that's for sure. At least she's now managed to retrieve her luggage (couldn't get it last night as they didn't have enough baggage handlers  ) and is at the right terminal for catching her 10 p.m. flight!!

Oh no Kaz that’s appalling poor Becky!!! All that anticipation and twice now scuppered!! I hope this evening’s flight leaves on time - does she have any connections or is it a single stop flight?

Airlines cannot control the weather - they all suffer. And having worked with aircraft for decades I know that they are all also subject to "technical" issues. I also understand that they cannot have a "spare" for each type of aircraft at every airport. Those are just facts of life for all airlines.

But having flown a lot and been delayed or cancelled a lot and put in hotels a lot I also know that airlines, and British ones in general, are the worst communicators on the planet. They tell you next to nothing and when the passengers get irate (because of their lack of information) it is us who are the problem. We use "hate speech" you know.

Oh, and by the way, if you want to know of a BAD airline working 'normally' try Aeroflot (Russian). A trip from Moscow to London with a flight time of about five hours takes nearly ten due to embarkation rules, disembarkation corralling and baggage collection. Then you have Heathrow's passport control to contend with!

Kaz, I do hope B gets of this time. My B went off on time from Man'r this morning, after a night time delay, en route to Thailand. xx
