No great surprise there.

Apparently 94% of Blues fans responding to a poll in the Birmingham Mail agreed with the sacking .... :lol:

He was in the wrong place at the right time.

He may have been able to kick a football but I do not think he had any football manement skills.

Appointing him was a ridiculous decision in the first place.
John Eustace had got them to something like 6th place when he was sacked for Rooney to take over.

Great players rarely make great managers, at least in the UK.

No, Rooney didn't get a lot of time. But in his time there no club got fewer points from their matches than Birmingham did. He was taking them down; and as Jo points out they had gone from the play off places to fifth bottom of the championship.
