My sister in law has just showed us an item from 1977.
To be precise, from the 11th of August 1977.
It is a ticket for the Test match at Headingly on the day when Geoff Boycott got his one hundredth hundred.

A ticket for the now gone North Enclosure, section A, row one.

The price - £1.50!!

Why is it that whenever you want a specific piece of paper, you can never find it?
Today I was looking for a letter relating to my hip operation two years since.
I haven't found it but have discovered old school reports, newspaper clippings, a photograph of an old rugby team, birth certificates and even a certificate for passing my motorbike test. But what I needed? No chance.
