Good Morning Wednesday

Postby JanB » 10 Jan 2024, 07:02

Morning everyone

Dark still but should be a dry day and 15C, so a vast improvement.

Been awake since 4.00 again, so gave up half an hour ago and got up

Off to Ourique this morning, normal supermarket and chemist visits. Back to make a huge vat of favas and if possible, I'd like to get out in the garden this afternoon.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Good morning Jan.

A sunny day on the way and 17° forecast. 8-)

We had rain yesterday from 1pm till 5. It wasn't heavy but it was extremely welcome. :D

I'll be in the garden today but reading. I leave the working in it to someone else.

TV tonight.

Have a great day.

Good morning everybody.
Only 12C again this morning. Grey clouds everywhere but no rain. Am gong to get some washers. I go to a local firm who sells engineering parts.
I will be able to buy 10 washers the size I want. Not like B & Q where you have to buy a packet.
Then will make a phone call and just pootling.

Have a good day everybody.

Morning all :)

That’s an early start Jan! xx

Glad you got some rain, Al :) Fingers crossed for more for you xx

Independent shops are handy like that, aren’t they Cruiser :) xx

It’s a bright and frosty start here, so much better than the torrential rain! Meeting my friend J in town for a cuppa. Supposed to be going to Zumba tonight, but if it’s as cold as last night that won’t be happening - brrrrr!!!

Have a good day everyone :) xx

Good morning all.
Grey, misty and drizzly here. The forecast was for it to be dry all week; I think they'd get better results if they read the tea leaves.
We bought a new washing machine yesterday; only trouble is we have no one to take the old one away and plumb the new one in. Should be interesting.
Hopefully you will have a bit more rain Ally and you will be able to get out in the garden Jan. Cruiser, independent shops are good for that. Like a butchers, you can specify what you want and how much of it. In a supermarket you have to take what they have on the shelves. It was cold last night here too Kaz, just above freezing.
Have a good day everyone.

Morning all, mostly grey and windy out there. Plenty for me to do today, ironing, clean bathroom, take out money, get my nails done. Edward is currently making a mushroom sauce for us to have with pasta for dinner. Don’t know if dance class will be on as our teachers have/had Covid but I’m sure we will hear during the day.

Morning all :D

Bright and sunny, but very cold

Hope you get the washing machine fitted Crommers. We always buy from a company that fits and takes the old machine away, it does cost a bit more, but Ed and DIY really don't get on.

We've had a nice long lie in again, it's really hard getting out of bed in this weather, I really should be a tortoise  This time 10yrs ago we were in Barbados, the perfect time to go and escape this winter weather. It was also the start of our love affair with the island, really hoping we're both fit enough to think about going back in the next year or so.

Hope you all have a good day xx

It's clouded over after a lovely start and the clouds are a fetching shade of dark grey  As I've got two machine loads out, I'm keeping a beady eye on them

Couldn't get any fresh broad beans, so bought some frozen and now waiting for them to defrost.

Four barrow loads of lavender later, the garden looks much tidier.

Meeting Mitchell at the bar later, now need to get the prep for dinner done.
