Good Morning Thursday

Postby JanB » 08 Feb 2024, 07:32

Morning everyone

Big change in the weather for the next few days, already windy and a lot of rain to come. Cooler too.

I have curry making and ironing this morning, then meeting this random bloke this afternoon, about the tree branches. I think he's confusing us with next door, as he kept on about cutting the trees down

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning Jan and everyone.

Took a friend to the airport at 6.30 this morning as she's off to New Zealand so I just went for my walk as soon as I got home. :D

Forecast 19° today with rain due at 1am till 7pm tomorrow night.
We're all finger crossing as we are absolutely desperate for rainfall. Our reservoirs are practically empty. :?

I'm meeting David at noon for coffee and a pitufo. :D

TV tonight.

Have a great day.

Chris is coming up soon, to have a look at Grumpy-s back, then we-ll make a decision as to whether he needs to see some/one or just let the healing carry on.

Morning all, it’s completely miserable here, steady rain and with a high tide, water is pouring over the harbour wall. We are going to dance practice this morning then back for Kellie. She popped in yesterday on her way to Miss Osc’s office and told us that they are going skiing at Easter - delighted for them as both children loved it when they went last year. It also means we can go to their Wicklow house for Easter which is nice. I just want to change our bedding before we go out. The joys of driving on the M50 in heavy rain await

Morning all.

Well, it is snowing here and it is laying.

I had intended driving down to Morrisons for petrol and do a bit of shopping bit I think it can wait.

Jan, would heat pads or Voltarol help Grumpy? I have a bad back with a plate in and they are my go-to options when it is sore. The Dr is last on my list.

Hope the rest of you have a restful day. Stay warm and dry.

Morning all :D

Wet

Hope Chris can suggest something to help with Grumpy's back Jan xx

Think the rain's set in for the day so no chance of a walk. Probably just as well, I'm extra sore this morning, just taken some pain killers and plan to take it nice and easy for the rest of the day.

Hope you all have a good day xx

Chris has been and worked her magic :Hi:

It's the sciatic nerve, as we thought.

He's been using Volteren, as it's called here ad well as deep heat.

Chris has said to keep on with the painkillers and to alternate hot water bottle, cold water bottle, until he finds which one suits him better.

We've also got the name and phone number of the best physio around. Sadly, it's a three month wait, but if I ring, name drop and then head over, he will see us, even if it's an hour wait.

Not doing it today, will see how he is tomorrow.

Chris is coming back up later, to take me down to the bar, to meet this bloke and Grumpy will stay here, in case he finds his own way.

And it's raining :Hi: :Hi:
