Good morning Tuesday

Postby Ally » 27 Feb 2024, 07:00

Good morning.

Glorious sunshine and forecast 21°. 8-)

A year today I was in France with Michele celebrating her 60th birthday. It seems like yesterday!

Going for a walk to Guadalmar again with Don. Being by the coast is good for the soul. :D

TV tonight.

Have a great day.

Morning all :)

Ally, was that really a year ago? :) Enjoy the walk xx

Woke to a bright red sky this morning. According to the old saying that's a shepherd's warning ie rain :cute: :cute: Hopefully not as it's still pretty soggy here! We've had more than enough....

The usual Tuesday here - out for breakfast, maybe a walk round the dock if it's not pouring down, then up to D's at lunchtime.

Have a good day everyone :) xx

Morning Ally, Kaz and everyone

Sunny but cold and still windy.

Off to Guia this afternoon, for Grumpy to see the eye doc. I e-mailed them on Sunday for an appointment, expecting it to be a couple of weeks. Got the reply yesterday and the appointment is for this afternoon

I have been running around like a mad thing this morning, washing in machine and now out, back rubbed, other boring stuff that has to be done and only just sat down

We'll leave just before 1.00 and do some shopping on the way back.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Good morning everybody.

It was only 13C when i got up so CH went on. Lots of grey clouds and we have had some rain.

Will be having a smal lparcel delivered by Royal Mail. Only madethe order by phone yesterday morning. Was told it would be sent yesterday and
I should get it today.
Will also get my new gas hob elivered today. I will be given a two hour slot this morning. I can then arrange a date with the plumber/gasengineer
to have it fitted.
I also want to take some documents to my solicitor. I decided to change my Will.

Have a good day everybody

Hello and good morning all
Ally, is it Michelle's birthday today? If so happy birthday to her! Enjoy the walk
Jan, good luck with the appointment today
Kaz, same here - it's just so so wet. I've got very sandy soil where I live (and at the allotment) and even my ground is soaked; that's saying something! Enjoy the breakfast out.
Cruiser, good luck with all the bits and bobs you've got on today - that'll keep you busy and out of mischief ;) . I really need to get my will sorted; my current one is woefully out of date.

Another office day for me today - four days this week; sigh (Monday through to Thursday). I was messaging with Nadine whilst I was on the train; thing is - I really don't mind it once I'm in the office, but the commute is really bugging me. Traffic is horrendous, trains are super crowded again and people don't know how to use a tissue - grrrrrr

Off to Karl and Nadine this evening for pizza and a glass of wine and to say farewell... Nadine heads off to SA for a month tomorrow to spend quality time with her family.

Have a lovely day all x

Morning all :D

Bright and sunny 8-)

Had a phone call yesterday afternoon, I have a an appointment on 5th March to discuss my hernia. Slightly confused, the text I received straight after gave the name of the consultant named by the booker, but the e-mail letter that arrived later gives another name. The first consultant has no details/history to look at, but the latter's info shows he specialises in the type of surgery I might needed. I'll give them a ring later to clarify.

We're off to the hospital later this morning, we're both having our long overdue blood tests, it's all go here

Hope you all have a good day xx

Morning all, it is sunny and cloudy here but dry for the moment. I’m meeting friends at 11am for a cuppa and catch up. I’ll put on a wash before I go out and might do some ironing this afternoon. I finished my jigsaw yesterday and will leave it there for a few days before breaking it up and starting a new one. I also want to finish a baby cardi I’ve been knitting for friends who are to become first time grandparents in May as I want to start another for a friend of Miss Osc’s who is expecting her first baby in August - at 47  I think the baby was conceived by donor egg.

Good morning all.

Enjoy whatever it is you are doing. Best wishes to Grumps and the eye appointment and a safe journey to Nadine.

Goodness! When is it going to warm up? It was only 3 °C again overnight and a maximum of 7 °C is forecast.

A few trips to the dump are on the cards today as I intend to clear our the shed. I am baffled by the amount of rubbish that is in there and why I ever wanted to keep it.

Ah well, better get a move on.

Have a good day everyone.

Frank, that's going to be a summer project for me - clear the shed and get rid of stuff; probably 70% of the contents are not needed and I just need to be ruthless. My worst habit is that I grab something from the back of the shed, and then just chuck in back in on the floor in the front and before you know it the first 1/3 is piled roof high with cr*p and the back is nearly empty
