Oh I am sorry Frank, that's so annoying!

Big grumblings here locally, in the Longlevens part of Gloucester. They are putting cycle path markings onto the very busy Cheltenham Rd, where you almost never see a cyclist, while completely ignoring the pot holes in there, and in most of the city roads. The money would be much better spent on the repair!

It's the same everywhere, Kaz.

20 mph limits, speed bumps, humps, chicanes, LTNs (Low Traffic Neighbourhoods).

Are we safer? No, Is congestion and local pollution worse? You bet.

Well, we sure need more of those electric cars that are so environmentally friendly to produce, but not locally; they never break down, don't run people over, stick to speed limits, are CO2 free  and go miles and miles on fresh air.

Leeds is going to have 30% more walkers, 400% more cyclists and no deaths on the roads by 2040, that's the aim! It's dreamland.

Ah, Project Zero.
It's complete rubbish, partly aimed at the abolition of the private ownershi of cars. There's a word for you - car. If any public official ever mentions it, they get sent for re-education. The only allowable words are sustainable, cycling, walking, public transport.

But you will still have delivery vehicles. You will still have buses. So you will still have motorised traffic, so you will still have accidents and deaths.

So the reasons given for Project Zero aren't truthful; and if they aren't truthful, what are the real reasons?
15 minute city, anyone?

UPDATE: What a morning! My car has been written off as the repair is more than its value. I have now had to hire a car in order to get about and buy a new one - well, new to me. I have to sort out all sorts of things in order to get the insurance to pay and also to make a claim from the council. I could scream!

Oh no Frank! What an absolute nuisance

Kaz, the same is happening here. 14 weeks of roadworks on the busiest road and roundabout in town for a cycle lane.
