It does. It’s been such a process Saundra, nothing like when we’ve bought in the past.
We were given money towards the deposit for our first place and didn’t have to declare anything but we’ve had to write letters, sign forms, produce bank statements going back 3 months showing the measly £2000 we’ve given him in our account and then it leaving our account and landing in his. The solicitor wanted this along with two forms of ID for both of us, the building society needed the same but with different forms to fill out.

I think the next step is exchange. He was given an estimated completion date of April 26th.

Glad it's sorted tho

We're addressing the main issue I had with this house - the lack of a second reception room or dining room - by building a conservatory on the back of the kitchen :D

Probably, the four bed round the corner with one is on for 485k, but the main thing is it gives us the extra space.

That's what we found, having the glass curtains put in.

We now have two rather posh patio heaters, so can use it even now.

I am having a new Will made to include what will happen to the software including photos on my computer and mbile phone.

On the form I had to sign at the solicitors is a section about money laundering. The soliitor said it ia a way some people woill try to hide money.

We went for a mooch round a show house yesterday, over the border in South Derbyshire but just a ten minute drive from Tom. It’s the area we fancy moving to, I think we’re looking at seriously considering this around this time next year.

Four bedroomed detached, lovely looking house but poorly planned IMO. The lounge was quite small compared to what we have now, we’ve currently got two three seater sofas, an armchair, a couple of cupboards and a long TV bench and we’re still left with a good amount of floor space but I stood in there wondering how it’d all fit in without being cluttered. The kitchen was big (28’x11’) but much of it was taken up with a living area and quite honestly, I don’t really want to sit and relax in the kitchen, I just want to cook, eat and get the hell out of there. I need room for a dining table and that’s it. There wasn’t a utility room, no under stairs cupboard for coats, shoes, bags etc, that space was used for the downstairs toilet. Where do you keep your vacuum cleaner or your ironing board? There was nothing. It just felt like so much space was given up to this entertaining kitchen that things had been forgotten about.
Upstairs the rooms were a good size, but there wasn’t an airing cupboard and just a built in cupboard in the smallest bedroom.
