Good morning Sunday

Postby Ally » 07 Jul 2024, 04:50

Good morning.

Oven hot. 8-)

An early swim. :D

Going out for lunch to Gambrinus. Normally we'd sit on their lovely terrace under a parasol but methinks we'll be inside under an aircon unit.

Relaxing at home this evening. I've started watching The Charmer on my tablet so I'll very happily watch another episode. It's so good and Nigel Havers is perfect in the title role. :D

Have a great day.

Good morning Ally and anybody else who is up.

Still only 17C with grey skies. It has been raining again. Th e sun is trying to push it's way through but not having much success.

Had a good few hours with my son yesterday afternoon. Showed me some photos of his daughter. She is now on holiday
in Columbia. Going to Peru before she comes home.

Just a day of pootling.

Have a good day everybody.

Morning all :D

Nice and sunny, but rain's forecast.

We were up at silly o'clock. I like to give myself plenty of time to shower, have brekkie and generally feel human before rushing off. We've ordered a taxi to get to the station, there are only 42 parking bays there and I can't be bothered with the drama worrying about where to park. Not only that, the charge is quite high, a taxi works out cheaper.

Hope you all have a good weekend xx

Morning everyone

Sunny, but blowing a hooley, so feels quite cold in the shade.

Laptop didn't want to come out to play this morning, so I was watching the sheep in the field next door. So funny. The grass is quite high, so they were munching on the top bits, then their heads would get lower and lower, as they ate down to the bottom

I've got the ironing I didn't do yesterday - have to be in the right frame of mind for that - and I'll run the vac over the floors too.

We had planned on a bbq, but it's too windy and a north wind too, so fish and chips it is :Hi:

Have a lovely time Jen and good luck to E tomorrow xx

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Afternoon everyone :)

A funny old day here, really chilly with rain this morning, now bright sun and warm - never know what to wear when it's like this  Breakfast at Portivo's, a cuppa round at D's then back home. We had a quick stir-fry lunch as Mick wanted to crack on with the conservatory, which he's doing now. I've done some washing, am about to peg it out. Have had a nice long chat on the phone with Harry, as we usually do on Sundays. He's well and getting on ok in his job at the cinema. Will phone Chris later.

Ally, I remember The Charmer, it was very good! :) xx

Glad you had a good day, Cruiser :) xx

Good luck to E, Jen xx

I'm the same with ironing, Jan :cute: xx

Love to all xxx

Evening all.
Son is away with his g/f in Manchester having a break at a nice hotel.
We have had a very quiet day.
Sunday lunch of roast chicken an afternoon of me watching the motorbikes and MrsC pottering in the garden.
Today has been the standard weather wise; a bit of sun in the morning, quickly clouding over, rain, and sunshine in the evening.
I hope you have all had a nice day.

We’re home! Landed in Dublin at 1.50pm, into taxi and home. All the unpacking is done, first wash has just finished and I’m about to put on another. We were greeted by a heavy shower of rain while we were in the taxi  and we’ve gone from around 28 degrees in Barcelona to 15 here :( We did have a lovely holiday though and the two days in Barcelona before the cruise and one day after made it all the more enjoyable. All travel went well. We were to visit Florence on an excursion from the ship on Wednesday but Edward ate something that didn’t agree with him and had an unpleasant couple of hours on Tuesday evening so we decided to cancel as he was feeling washed out and tired. It didn’t matter, we just had an easy day and he was fine after that. Back to normal now, although on Wednesday week the 17th we go to Scotland with Michael for the Open golf, so I didn’t even put away one of the suitcases!
