He does have carers that visit three times a day Ria.
He was offered more but he has turned it down.
He was assessed in hospital and initially found to be OK to return home, a decision which was reversed the next day. Why, we don't know.
Although when we were rung to say that he had been assessed and was fine my reply of "Christ!" might have had something to do with it.
Anyway, in the end he virtually discharged himself; insisting that he was fine.
Imo the hosspital knows that he isn't, but they are under pressure for beds, social services are under pressure not to take people into care unless they pay for it, etc etc.
Social care is in a state.
