Good Morning Thursday

Postby JanB » 11 Jul 2024, 06:29

Morning everyone

Mist :o slowly going and we have another cloudy start to the day. The forecast is for 34C, so by mid morning, it will be hot again. Quite a warm night too.

Watering to be done, washing to be done and put out, cooking for tomorrow's samosa's to be done and then also into Ourique, as my driving licence has, at last, been issued, so need to pick it up before it gets sent back   I sent it off for renewal in March

Off out to lunch and then a couple of hours in the bar to follow.

Mitchell still waiting for his op - something to do with all the medication, blood thinners etc, that he has to take. He apparently has shattered his shoulder, which they can do nothing about and his hip, which they should be able to do something with But he has osteoporosis, so it will all be problematic. Think his tractor driving days are over.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Good morning JanB and anybody else who is up.

Another grey start and still only 17C. There has ben rain and there are still a few puddles.

For the third time this year the road is dug up for a leak to one of the houses. It wasalso dug up last year for the same problem

None of the other houses are affected.
I am going to town to take a parcel which I am sending to my son. I use UPS. It will get to Kent on Friday.
Will also do some shopping. Back home will put the washing on. The basket is getting full.

Have a good day everybody.

Morning all, it was very dull when we got up but is brightening up now. We are off to dance practice this morning, but no Kellie until the end of August, they are down in Wicklow for the next six or seven weeks. We will see her though, and she was actually here yesterday for a couple of hours. Michael played golf with Edward, Michael has got so tall, we hadn’t seen him for about four weeks - I am finally a little old granny  After dancing, we’ll go to the nearby shopping centre for a few bits and some lunch. Michael seems to be really looking forward to our trip to Scotland next week, knowing he will see many of the golfers who he has only seen on TV up till now.

Morning all.
Wall to wall grey skies here and it is chilly to boot.
I have been down to the farm to get some eggs and now it is crossword time.
Jan, poor Mitchell. That's a lot of things to break. Kids do shoot up Osc, don't they?
Cruiser, I went through the next village yesterday and water was fountaining up out of the road; a water main had burst.
Have a good day everyone.

Morning all :D

Bright and sunny 8-)

Jan poor Mitchell, it does sound as though his tractor days are well and truly over.

We've had a lovely lie in, no plans for today, intending to be extremely lazy.

Hope you all have a good day xx

Afternoon everyone :)

Oh Jan, what a palaver! Sending my best wishes for Mitchell as well xx

Cruiser, let’s hope it’s the final time for a while - most inconvenient xx

Osc, they soon grow up! xx

Crommers I do love a crossword :) xx

Enjoy your lazy day, Jen xx

Oh a cake shop, Saundra how nice :) xx

It’s a beautiful sunny day here! Out early to get my hair done - it was cut and colour so I was there for hours! Popped round the corner for a cuppa at Emma’s afterwards, then went to Tesco with Mick. I have a pile of ironing to do this afternoon, then it’s Pilates tonight.

Love to all :) xx
