Good morning Tuesday

Postby Ally » 16 Jul 2024, 04:44

Good morning.

Can't believe this time last week I was sitting on the plane coming over here. It's absolutely flown by!

Another 19° here and 38° in Donland.

Craig's got a site meeting in Leicester this morning and he's having a new gas cooker arriving and being fitted at 10am so I'll stay at home and oversee that. :D

I need to pack my wee rucksack for tomorrow and paint my nails. :D

Chicken linguine with tomatoes, chilli and lime for dinner tonight a la Craig. :D

Going to watch the two part series Honour on Netflix with Keeley Hawes. :D

Have a great day.

Morning Ally, morning everyone

Weird sky again this morning and quite cool. But it will warm up later.

Posh car off for it-s MOT this morning. It would normally go with Gabi, down to the Algarve, but he-s not too well / he picked up malaria in Morocco last year / so Joaquinha volunteered to take it to Castro Verde. Only because he loves driving our car  We-ll drop it down to him at 9.00 and have a quick coffee, then back here for breakfast.

Hopefully, I-ll be able to get some more pruning done this morning.#

Have a good day everyone, whatever you-re doing xx

Hello and good morning all

Ally, hope the cooker arrives on time and it's a quick swap out with the old one. Dinner sounds absolutely delicious!
Jan, good luck with the MOT and enjoy the morning in the garden
Cruiser, enjoy the coffee

Well, went to bed last night and it was pouring; woke up to glorious sunshine streaming through the bedroom window and then half hour later it was overcast and grey and dull again - sigh. Apparently warming up on Thursday so keeping fingers crossed. Got a few things to get done today - had a very mopey / feel sorry for myself day yesterday and didn't do much at all. In a much better frame of mind this morning so need to catch up and crack on

Have a lovely day all x

Morning all, it’s pouring down so no walk yet.

I’m hoping it stops t some point during the day as I’ve got my aunty’s birthday card to post so I at least need to get out to the post box.

Joe’s working from home today. Yesterday was the company charity day so Joe and his three workmates did their bit by walking along the canal towpath from Birmingham city centre to where it runs near the office in Warwick which is around 25 miles. Today they’re all resting

I’m waiting for my new Kindle to be delivered today. I dropped the charger plug on mine last week and it’s slightly cracked the screen, it’s usable but annoying as the backlight shines really brightly along the cracks.

Have a good day all :)

Morning all, it’s mostly dull here and looks as if it could rain although it is not forecast. I’m at the hairdresser this morning and getting my nails done this afternoon. Michael will be here late afternoon, he’s coming on the train from Wicklow, and we’ll go for something to eat. Before I go to the hairdresser, I need to pop to the post office, take out money and buy some sterling. Packing mostly done except for toilet bags, and when Michael arrives, we’ll put his stuff in the suitcase too. Edward is already watching coverage of the practice day from Troon, can’t believe we will actually be there on Thursday!

Morning all :D

Very changeable, one minute rain the next sunshine

Ally hope the cooker arrives on time.
Jan good luck with the MOT.
Cruiser enjoy your hair cut.
(((Ria))) have a hug.
Jo annoying about your Kindle, hope the new one arrives on time.
Osc exciting time for you.

Didn't get out in the garden yesterday, after lunch the sky turned black and the rain came down.

We're off out to the cinema this afternoon to see Despicable Me 4. We've seen all the films in the franchise and loved them, this one has good reviews so we're expecting more of the same :D My Meercat movie deal had finished so I renewed it for the princely sum of £4.10 yesterday before booking. It gives 2 for 1 for a year so a huge saving for people like us who love films 8-)

Hope you all have a good day xx

Goo morning.
Grey here and it rained a lot during the night.
shortly we are off to give Dobby the dog a walk; our daughter is going through to Stockport for a funeral so we will take the dog out for a run.
Apart from that not too much on.
Have a nice day everyone.

Jen, we each pay £18 a month for Odeon Limitless passes and usually go 3 or 4 times a month.
We save a fortune - a single ticket is £18.49

It failed

Apparently, it needs new tyres, so Joaquinha is sorting that out for us and he'll keep the car overnight, take it back for it's mot and then ring me.

That is going to cost rather a lot of money

By the time we'd had breakfast, it was too hot to be outside working, so another lazy day

Ria, have a hug from us xx
