Good morning Saturday

Postby Ally » 20 Jul 2024, 04:31

Good morning.

Apart from a visit to Tesco for food shopping I'm really looking forward to a day of relaxation.

Craig's cooking dinner and we'll watch something on Netflix.. :D

Have a great day.

We are in Glasgow airport - again. We were actually on the plane yesterday when the flight was cancelled, due to an engineering problem, nothing to do with the IT outage. Eventually we managed to book an early flight this morning to Belfast, and hotels were arranged. We were given a room in a Marriott, Michael was delighted as there were two double beds in the room and he had one all to himself. We ordered room service which he thought was cool! We have to wend our way back to Dublin Airport as our car is there. It’ll be a long day!

Morning Ally, Osc and everyone

Oh, that's a really pain in the posterior Osc  But better to find out there was a problem when on the ground. Safe journey today xx

Cloudy and cool start, but the sun will be out later.

Ideal weather to get the vacuum and mop out   Molly went out at 4.15 this morning and I very sensibly went back to bed

Meeting friends down at the bar later. Sergio has some honey for me :D

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Good morning.
Cloudy but warm here.
MrsC and I are booked in at 1pm for a nice meal at a local Italian restaurant.
Enjoy your rest day Ally. That is a pain Osc; still, room service!
Jan, you need to have a stern word with that cat!
It's very, very quiet outside. It seems like most of the world is still in bed.
Have a lovely day everyone.

Morning all :D

Another lovely sunny day 8-)

Safe journey home Osc, glad the airline sorted things so well. I bet Michael will be telling all his friends about the room service

We're planning a walk down the steps and along the seafront. No doubt we'll have a light lunch when we get to the harbour, Ed needs a pint and I need time to recuperate before the walk back to the car

Hope you all have a good day xx

Afternoon all, it’s dull and muggy with rain, thunder and lightning forecast for this afternoon.

Me, John and Joe have walked Bill on Hednesford Hills. Joe’s now about to order himself a burger from a new fancy burger place that’s opened. I’d offer to order for all of us one but it’s very pricey and John’s not yet over paying £9 each for basic cheeseburgers at Green Day last month and an even more eye watering £12 each a week later for burgers when we saw Johnny Marr and The Charlatans  Bit indulgent anyway seeing as me and John are off over to Tom’s later and picking up fish and chips on the way.

Joe wants a lift to the station afterwards, he’s meeting friends and going into Birmingham.

Hope the journey back isn’t too bad Osc, I’ve done a train journey between Dublin and Belfast before and it was such a lovely journey.

Saundra, that sounds like a good idea!

Have a good day all :)

Afternoon everyone :)

It's a funny day here, sunshine, and torrential showers. We've been out for brunch, then round to see D :) FaceTime early this morning to talk to B - all's well there :) She has a boat ride booked for Monday, at Port Adelaide, to see dolphins :) Lucky duck, the trip we took once to see Atlantic dolphins off of Lanzarote was very special 8-)

Ally, a quiet day sounds good :) xx

Osc, I'm sure Michael is enjoying the adventure ;) Safe journey home xx

Jan, I think Molly and Fraggle must be in cahoots!  xx

Hope you both enjoyed your Italian meal, Crommers - yum! :) xx

That sounds really enjoyable Jen :) xx

Oh back Saundra, shame that can't be switched off  :( The picnic box sounds nice - what goodies do you get?. ;) xx

Jo, the profit margins on those must be huge! :o xx

Love to all :) xxx
