Good morning Sunday

Postby Ally » 21 Jul 2024, 03:39

Good morning.

Nowhere near as hot as Donland's 40° but given I came over without a cardi and I haven't regretted it I'm happy.

Craig's taking me to his favourite cafe for breakfast. :D

A couple from the Doc's are having a BBQ late afternoon and I said I'd contribute with my Bombay potatoes. :P

Have a great day.

Morning all :)

Sounds good Al, especially the Bombay spuds :D xx

It's grey here, but not cold. We're out for breakfast shortly, our friends Em and Dave might join us, they'll wander down if they're up in time  This afternoon I'm taking all my gel nail gear - colours, lamp etc - round to D's to do her nails for her, as she's off on the trip to Canada tomorrow. Mick's youngest brother P and his wife are travelling with her. No regrets about missing it ourselves, the conservatory is coming on a treat ;) :D

Have a good day everyone :) xx

Morning Ally, Kaz and everyone

Cool, cloudy morning, but the sun will be out and another warm day.

Loving the coolness, done so much outside already :Hi: Had a chat with the sheep too and asked if they can keep away from our bedroom window at 5.00 every morning. Those bells

I have ironing to do and prep for the bbq and that's my lot for the day. Feel as if I've done a days work already

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

A lovely sunny morning here.
A bbq sounds good Ally. Mick sounds like a good worker Kaz. Jan, sheep bells at 5am would do my head in. Maybe this is what is waking Molly up so early!
MrsC is off to watch our son play in the big band at Harlow Carr today, along with his gf and gf's mother. I'm holding the fort.
A long lazy and hopefully warm day stretches ahead.
Have a good one everybody.

She went out at 12.15 this morning and didn't come in until we were out at 7.00

Morning all, it’s sunny.

Having a lazy one so I’m sitting here with a lovely mug of coffee. John’s gone mountain biking with some cycling friends who he’s been riding with for around 20 years now, one of them is in his mid 70s and has recently switched to an e-bike so he can keep up on uphills, he’s as fit as a fiddle though, and Joe’s only just got up. John should be back at 1ish so I’ll do stir fry for lunch once he’s ready.

Had a lovely time at Tom’s last night. Me and Tom went over to Tutbury, five minutes from his house, to get some fish and chips for tea. As we stood waiting in the chippy Tom told me to look out of the back door which they’d got open so I did and there was a beautiful peacock striding around the yard!

Kaz, I’m sure there’ll be other chances to go to Canada. I watched the Canada edition of Race Across The World on iPlayer last month, not a show I’d watched before, and it’s really made me want to see more of the country. Toronto is a fantastic city though. Not sure why we’ve never been over to Vancouver to see the area and hopefully see the family there, probably because we’d got to know the family in Niagara Falls (US side) so well and it was always nice to go there and catch up with them. A good thing when we think about it as out of the three cousins (siblings John, Frank and Laurie) who we spent the most time with, there’s only John left now. His brother and sister both died young, Laurie was only in her 30s and Frank in his 40s :(

Enjoy your lazy day Crommers!

Have a good day all :D

Morning all, we went to bed about 9.30 last night and slept like the dead! I woke around 7am and dozed on and off until after 9am when we finally dragged ourselves out of the bed. I haven’t showered yet, I will shortly, and the plan for the day is to do nothing but watch golf. SIL messaged Edward to say that Michael had a great time and thanking him (no mention of me ;) ) We were just saying how good it felt to be able to treat him to such a special occasion for any golfer. Miss Osc messaged to say that Michael wants to go for the full four days of The Open when he is older :) Right - shower >>>>>>>>>

Morning all :D

A bit dull and overcast, think rain's forecast for later.

We had a lovely walk yesterday, it was great to see so many families enjoying themselves on the beach. Having said that, it was very hot and humid so I was cream crackered by the time we got home

Not a lot happening today, we did intend to get out in the garden but we'll have to see if it rains. Roast chicken with salad for dinner, ice cream for pud.

Hope you all have a good day xx
