She might be coming home early. Her employers are both pilots, but the company one of them works for is going into receivership. If he loses his job they won't need an au pair, so B has decided in that case she'll come home rather than look for another job.

It would be great to have her back, but I hope he keeps his job - especially as they've just signed on a new house :? :(

That's so true Saundra, you never know what's around the corner :?

I would love my girl back, but not at the expense of her employers, who are really nice people. They've made B so welcome, and she loves the little boy.

Poor family, and poor Becky.

Unfortunately, sometimes life is out of our control. Best of wishes to B in whatever she chooses for the future. xxx

Losing your job is hard. Losing your job to an economic climate where jobs are reducing is way harder, I know.

Hard choice though Kaz isn't it. Child home with a job loss for the family or child away and their life secure.

I stopped making commitments like cars and mortgages after the financial crisis made it really risky for me. So I do feel for them greatly. I was fortunate enough to have a home which was paid for which we could move to.

Thanks everyone :)

It’s a company called Rex in Australia. So far only the pilots flying jets have been let go, and M flies SAABs, but it’s pretty dicey :?

You never know what is around the corner, do you. Hopefully it will be ok, and Becky might change her mind about looking for another job - she is having such a great time, it would be a shame if she had to come home.
