Good morning Thursday

Postby Ally » 01 Aug 2024, 03:56

Good morning.

How on earth is it August?!!!

Craig's got a site meeting in Stoke and there's a gardener bloke coming at ten so I'll be here to let him in. :D

Fish and chips for dinner and we're going to start binge watching The Inheritance. :D

Have a great day.

Good morning Ally and anybody else who is up.

Going to Crewe to see a friend. We will have lunch together. Going by train. Don't fancy driving on the M6.

Have a good day everybody.

Morning Ally, Cruiser and everyone

Cloudy and cool this morning. Sun will be out later and a much cooler day at 34C.

Done all the watering, one load is out. No foxes this morning, but the air gun is ready.

I have the chip pan to clean out this morning, loathe that job  Grumpy is going to change the water filter and stable the netting by the pool.

Hoping the car comes back today.

Enjoy your lunch out Cruiser.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you-re doing xx

Hello you three and everyone else, good morning

Ally, enjoy the day - sounds like a nice quiet one for you for a change
Cruiser, enjoy lunch and makes sense not to be driving
Jan, do think about getting an airfryer; so much easier to clean and the fries do come out amazing! And they are so versatile; you can do so much in them

Another wfh day for me - office still very quiet (but I'll be in 3x next week ;-) - so making the most of this week). Nadine is finishing work early today so I'll pick her up and we'll spend the afternoon here in the sunshine and Karl will pick her up on his way home from work. My neighbour leaves on her annual 10 day break to Sidmouth today so I'll be cat sitting for her as of this evening through to Saturday next week morning.

Have a lovely day all x

Morning all :)

Al, this summer is racing by! Enjoy your fish supper :) xx

Have fun in Crewe, Cruiser :) xx

Jan I once had a P/T job in a Debenhams restaurant and sometimes had to help clean out the huge fryer there - vile job :x xx

Enjoy the sunshine Ria, say hi to N for me :) xx

It absolutely poured here in the early hours, like real monsoon type rain! It was making a racket bouncing off the tarpaulin Mick fixed over the unfinished conservatory roof   It’s dry again now, and feels fresher :) Tesco this morning, I also need to get a few bits for D as she’s home tomorrow - we’re picking her up from Heathrow at silly O’clock in the morning

Have a good day everyone xx

Good morning all.
The sun has just come out but we've had heavy rain during the night.
It's growing weather, not least for weeds!
We have no food in the house so need a little shop for today.
August the first, how did that happen so quickly?
I'm not keen on foxes either Jan!
Have a great day everyone.

Morning all, it was dull earlier but the sun is coming out now. We are going to dance practice this morning and will pop to the shopping centre on our way home. Edward is watching Olympic golf, I did offer to not go dancing but he said it was ok. A local man died the other day and we knew we would be unable to go to the funeral this morning. As the hearse was coming up the street, it paused at his mother’s house as is often done. In years gone by, neighbours would stand outside their houses as the hearse went by but this morning, it was just us - very few “old timers” living on the street now. Right, better get moving and tidy around before we go out.

Morning all :D

Dry at the moment, but rain and thunder storms promised for later

We were up early and because of the threatened rain decided to throw our clothes on and do a quick dash to M&S. It worked brilliantly, we were in/out in less than 30mins and back here to shower and have brekkie much the same time as usual.

Yesterday was a great day for Team GB and more medals already this morning. Methinks we're in for another day of excitement.

Hope you all have a good day xx

We have one Ria, but sometimes, "proper" chips are a must.

Kaz, it was my job, when I was doing week-end work at a local hospital, to clean out the deep fryers. There were four of them

Afternoon all, it looked like it was going to pour down when I walked Bill first thing and heavy showers were forecast for throughout the morning but we’ve not had a spot of rain.

Been into Wolverhampton this morning, won’t be making that mistake again  Me and Bill are now cooling down with two fans on the go.

Ria, I’ve managed to convert Tom to using an air fryer. He always refused to use it when he was at home but I recently upgraded it so offered him my old one, thinking he’d say no but thought I should at least offer, and he was over for it the next night. He’s using it daily and hardly using his oven, he’s more conscious of electricity use now he has to pay for it though ;)
