Cities up and down the country now have riots. They are not race riots, immigration riots, they are anti-Islam riots.

My thinking is that Moslems have to do more, a lot more, to integrate into British society, otherwise they will be isolated. They have to accept that their religion is alien to ours and that they have to integrate with us, not us with them. Our politicians also need to make that clear to them.

The politicians are cowards and will not, and they are part of the problem

The immigrants came here for a hopefully better life than back home, no problem with that, but it is for them to take the knee and integrate with us, not the other way around.

Accept our British values or go somewhere else.

Unfortunately we have a two tier justice system, and I can't see that changing.

All that is happening is more repression by the authorities and a united front among the media to blame everything on "the far right".

I don't know how long you can keep that up for though; these days everyone has a camera on their phone and some clips circulating on YouTube from Stoke present a very different reality.

The official line is that the white working class are nasty racist brutes and the muslims are poor defenceless people. It's been that way as long as I can remember and the political class aren't going to change the record now.

The repression will work for a while but when the next outrage comes along - and it will - things will all kick off again. I worry about the country that my grandchild will be growing up in.

And that is why we are where we are today. Over decades Heaven and Earth have been moved to accommodate Islam and Moslems and always at the expense of traditional British values. Nothing has been reciprocated.

I remember a case from way back when a woman - Preston or Bolton - was threatened with eviction from her council terraced house, which was directly on the street, because she had a couple of piggy banks - pot pigs for collecting pennies - on her windowsill. They, the piggy banks, had been there for years but newly arrived Moslems complained that they offended their "sensibilities" and should be removed.

A friend owned an old Victorian house in Rawdon that overlooked the Aire valley - stunning views. He wanted to knock out two smaller windows and put in single paned panoramic window. "No!, not allowed. It does not fit with the area". It was at the back and not seen from the road. Meanwhile, down in Harehills, Hyde Park, Beeston and Burley, slap bang in their Victorian terraced streets, Mosques in the Arabian style - domes, minarets etc." were being built.

It is those types of things that (have) create(d) tensions.

It's one rule for one and another rule for another. You can't have that without peole becoming upset and disillusioned.

Burning stuff outside a holiday inn express in Rotherham. I can see that some of the rioters actually can't afford to stay in a holiday inn express so they take extreme umbrage at illegal foreigners getting to live and eat there free. Plus everything else.

Anger is being let out and if it goes on long enough it's going to build. Starmer is going to have to sit on it some time soon or it will start to get out of control and that's when people begin to realise that a few hundred, or even thousand, police cannot control tens or hundreds of thousands of unruly protesters. If they let it go that far, things could turn very ugly indeed.

I'd prefer it doesn't turn that ugly because there are not that many "far right" in the country and people might understand that even slightly "right" people might actually stand up and choose to be "counted". Which is not how "civilised" countries solve their problems.

But when "civilised" politicians all stand up and tell the people they are wrong and those people are just going to have to "put up with it", then stuff starts to get out of hand. There were 4m people who voted for Reform. They got sod all in representation for it and a lot of abuse too. They are angry and god help the country if 4m people decide it is time to do more than just put X in a box.
There are 10 types of people in the world:
Those who understand Binary and those who do not.

So Starmer is going to raise an army of 6000 riot control police to be used anywhere in the country.
Well let's start with Dover to stop the problem coming ashore.
These politicians just refuse to understand what is the root problem is and it ain't the far right

A lot of these riots have kicked off in old industrial towns.
Stoke, Middlesborough, Hull, Sunderland, Rotherham, Bolton.

They share a profile. Most of the industry is gone. A lot of jobs that paid a decent wage have gone.
The people there are forgotten, the left behind. It's hard for young people to get a job that pays enough to save for a house, or to pay rent.
They have to move.

The towns typically have a lot of old housing; cheap (by southern standards) housing.
Because this housing is cheap it is bought up by landlords (many out of town landlords) for rent. In many cases it is rented to the government or an NGO who put asylum seekers into them.

So there you have the situation. People who feel they have been forgotten. Their jobs gone, their children unable to find decent work, to marry or to settle down.
Then they have people deposited on them. People they don't particulary like; people who they never wanted in the country.

These people are housed in hotels or the houses that their children can't afford to buy.

There is massive, massive resentment about this.
Then the newcomers maybe start to commit crime. The level of frustration, of anger bubbling under the surface is immense.

It only takes a spark; and last week we got one.
