definitely can be done and then used for things like smoothies and cakes; they go darker in colour

Oh yes, Jan. Having first rolled in Cadbury's Drinking Chocolate powder. The bananas that is, not Mrs O.

Got to be firm bananas though, otherwise they go mushy and watery when defrozen. The defreezing seems to be the tricky part, not long enough and you'll crack a toof. You have to treat them a bit like a lollypop.
