Good morning Thursday

Postby Ally » 20 Feb 2025, 06:38

Good morning.

Forecast sunny and 22°. 8-)

My usual walk shortly. :)

I'm going over to David's late morning for a few hours. Tom & Barbara, his crazy goats, will no doubt be pleased to see me and Tom will take great delight in trying to head butt me when I give Barbara attention.

This nonsense then gets his chickens going crazy.
One in particular, with the ridiculous name* Hengalina Jolie, definitely stood first in the queue when the title of headless chicken was being given out.
Welcome to my bonkers life.

TV tonight.

Have a great day.

* David has lots of small animals on his land all with nutty names. I affectionately call him Dr D. (Short for Dolittle. )

Hello Ally, good morning to you and everyone

David's lifestyle sounds perfectly crazy to me - I'm just a tad jealous. Have a lovely time there and fusses to all the menagerie from me

A quieter day for me today - I've been up into London the past three days for various interviews and have been exhausted. It's such a different mental energy that's needed for those, esp as the one company has been doing loads of testing etc. And because of the train times and my (obviously) not wanting to be late, I've usually been everywhere anything between 1/2 to a full hour early so have had to hang around and find somewhere warm to sit and wait making for longer days than really needed. But hopefully something will come from one one of them. I have two calls with companies this morning; but the afternoon to myself - yay!

It's dull and damp today; the wind still has quite a bite to it, but not as bad as has been.

Have a lovely day everyone x

Still only 13C when I got up. It is trying to rain

Ally, Any photos of these animals? Sounds as if he could open a zoo.

Am going tothe library this morning. I have joined a group in the U3A for Ancestry. I am going to try and help my son do a family tree on my fathers side. An aunf did it
on my mothers side going back to the 17th century.

Have a good day everybody

Morning everyone

Lovely, sunny but rather chilly morning. 22C later for us too 8-) 8-)

Off to do the supermarkets this morning. We could have managed, but the cat wouldn't like it - she's running out of food. And she's a picky little princess   Also pop into the chemist, post office.

Probably won't stop at the bar on the way home. Don't want to spread any germs around.

Will ring Joaquinha this morning and cancel our ladies wot lunch for tomorrow. Out of seven of us, only two are fit enough

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning all, it’s grey and drizzly but almost tropical with 13° forecast for this afternoon.

I’m waiting for an Amazon parcel, it’s due before 1. Not much else planned, there’s the Tesco order to sort out and I’ll got for a walk if the rain stops this afternoon.

Have a good day all :D

Morning all, it’s drizzly just now but there was some watery sun earlier and it’s forecast to be showery for the day. The outside temperature has risen to the dizzy heights of 12c, it was noticeable when we got up. We will be heading off in about 30 minutes to collect Michael and Kellie, Edward wants to leave something to the golf club and it is on the way. Miss Osc has a meeting in her office at 9.15 and left them strict instructions to be ready for us at 10am :D Just need to tidy around before we go.

Good morning all.

I had to be up early for the annual gas check to be done. It is one of those tenancy things and is all good for another year.

It is quite mild at 11 °C but unfortunately rain is forecast - again!

Then there's the gas bill to pay... and the broadband... and the TV licence.

I feel like treating myself but cannot think of anything I really need. I don't do sweets, cakes or biscuits. The wardrobes are full. Maybe a really good bottle of whisky will do the trick. ;)

Have a good day everyone.

We tried doing a family tree Cruiser. OK on my mother's side by very difficult on my father's. There were several branches of the family and all the many men seem to have been called Thomas or George.
