Good morning.

Sunny and forecast 30° again although it hit 37° yesterday. 8-)

Some friends joined our lunch table yesterday which ended up being a very lengthy affair.

I'll have a swim this morning them pop out to get food shopping.

Jacob and Inma are getting the train to Madrid this afternoon to stay with friends for the weekend which includes tomorrow them all going on a Cluedo mystery day out.

Conor's coming over this afternoon and will join us for Friday beers and tapas and he's staying over.
Lucia's joining her sister on a spa weekend in Seville. :D

Have a great day.

Good morning Ally and anybody else who is up.

Summer is staying. It is 18C and should get warmer as the sun is out and no clouds.

Going to Chorley. Will have to make a phone call while I am out. Also going to the bank to get some cash. Some of the shops only accept cash.

Back home I will be pootling as my son is coming to visit me tomorrow.

Have a good day everybody.

I'll do some more later, as I have the floors to clean and a huge pot of favas to make.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning all, it’s another beauty and forecast to be 20° this afternoon.

George has had his walk. His walking speed alternates between unmovable object and 100mph  he does love a good stop and sniff. We saw a herd of deer on the grass behind our Close this morning, they’re getting to be a common sight and are beautiful to see.

The Tesco order is coming this morning and I’m hoping that next door will be bothered to come and collect the delivery I took in for them yesterday - a TV! She was clearly home but didn’t answer the door and they were both in last night, but it’s still here and I’d very much like it moved from my hall. I’ve taken a fair few parcels in for them recently and it’s not easy as I have to round up George and shut him in a room while I go to the door and then do it again when the man comes to collect them a couple of days later, and it’s always him despite all parcels having his wife’s name on them. In future I’m just going to refuse, I’ll tell any couriers that I’ll be out ‘later’ when they’ll probably come to collect. I don’t want to flat out refuse and cause bad feeling, our doors are next to each other and they’ve got a Ring doorbell so can hear any conversations

Have a good day all :D

Hello and good morning all

Ally, enjoy your day - and enjoy having Conor with you this evening
Cruiser, another busy time for you. And enjoy having your son visit (you don't often mention him), so special
Jan, it's amazing just how fast weeds grow isn't it... 27 degrees; such a perfect temperature
Jo, bless George, he sounds adorable. It sounds like he's really settling in well. As for your neighbours, if you know they're home just leave the TV by their front door, ring the bell and say you're leaving it and then head back inside. That really is very very cheeky of them.

Well a WFH day for me which is always nice... washing machine is running and I'll need to pop to Aldi and Sainsbury's in my lunch break. Then a relaxed evening at home.

Have a lovely day all x

Morning all, another sunny one although there are a few clouds floating about. Edward got up at 7.40 this morning on the basis that he was awake, so might as well get up. He’s gone to play golf, wearing shorts for the first time this year. We had a very pleasant meal out yesterday evening in an early celebration of my sister’s birthday - I had asked that candles be put on her dessert and it seemed a long time coming as we already had ours. It turned out that they had run out of candles and someone had to run to the local shop  Then it was home to watch the second Eurovision qualifier and also golf. Ireland didn’t get through to the final, in fairness although it was a catchy song, it was totally over produced and the singer’s voice was rather weak, so not qualifying wasn’t too surprising. I’m sorry, folks, but I think the UK song is dreadful. Normally, I’d be looking forward to tomorrow night’s final, but there is no song that I really want to win.

So, mobility class for me this morning, before I go I’ll pop to the chemist to collect the prescription renewal I left in yesterday. Then back home to do not very much. We won’t go dancing tonight as not only is the PGA golf on, but ManU are playing too, so it’s no contest  At some stage today, I want to ring a friend who is having knee surgery on Monday, also I need to make an appointment for a dental check up, I’ll make it for when we get back from our holiday.

Morning all :D

Sunny, but a bit chilly.

Ally enjoy your Friday beers and tapas.
Cruiser have a good trip to Chorley.
Jan busy day for you.
Jo what a cheek!! Good idea for dealing with your neighbours deliveries.
Ria enjoy your WFH day.
Osc I agree, the UK song is awful.

Friday wash day and bed change, deep joy. Goodness knows how older generations coped having to hand wash everything, no wonder they aged so much sooner!! No other plans, I'm cream crackered just thinking about it

Hope you all have a good day xx

Good afternoon.
We've done the big shop, been to the butcher, the Halifax and to get our prescriptions.
A lovely day again. :D
Jo, next time just say "Oh, leave it on their step. I know they're in, they must not be able to hear you". :)
Jen, years ago when I used to say "Why are Israel in Eurovision? As they are not in Europe. Who's going to join next, the Cook Islands?".
Wrong but not too far off, as Australia have joined!
Have a nice day everyone.

Evening everyone :)

I'm so late today!. In my defence I've been out almost all day - SW meeting first thing, then a cuppa sitting in Emma's garden in the sunshine. Doreen's afterwards, then back to Emma's as she offered to gel my nails for me :) xx

Saundra, lovely to hear from you, and that you're moving nearer to Jon :) Huge big hugs from me, and from us all (((((((x))))))
