Good morning.

A cooler 41° forecast.

I'm away for my walk around 7am. The best time to exercise.

Back to be best buddies with the pool and my kindle.

Greek salad for dinner.

Have a great day.

Morning Ally, morning everyone

Lovely, cool, fresh breeze this morning, and a cooler day at 40C

Pot watering done, washing out and I-m off to Castro Verde market this morning, Looking for a certain type of material, for the to be built pergola. I am taking a couple of plants we bought to give to friends, as we really haven-t got room for them

I-ll do the supermarket and chemist stuff on my way back, then do bugger all for the rest of the day. Apart from plan

Will buy a cooked chicken in Pingo and that will do us for the next couple of days. I have given up even thinking about cooking in this heat.

Just weighed myself and Grumpy. I-ve lost a couple of kilos and so has he :Hi: :Hi:

Have a good day everyone, whatever you-re doing xx

Hello and good morning you two.
We had 33 degrees yesterday and it was sweltering, 40+ doesn't bear thinking about.

Makes sense to exercise early Ally and jealous of the pool / kindle relationship :D

Jan, good luck with the material hunt, hope. you find what you're looking for.

I'm on the train to work, so nothing exciting to report my end. We've had the smallest bit of rain, and temps are down by 10 degrees compared to yesterday, quite pleasant now.

Have a lovely day everyone xx

Good morning Ally JanB and Ria.

It is 21C this morning and the sun is out. There are some clouds but no sign of rain.

Going to take some clothes to one of the charity shops this morning. Then it will just be pootling.

Have a good day everybody.

Morning all, it’s a cloudy one was and only around 12° when I walked George at 6.30am. It was lovely, so refreshing! I think we’re due to get to 19° today which is a relief after the last week.

Nothing much planned today, I need to get out for some birthday cards at some point but I’ll have to wait until Royal Mail have delivered a parcel before I do, it’s an M&S order which is a present for one of the fellas that I need a card for
I actually ordered two items but the delivery was split so Evri brought the other one on Monday. It’s been a week for split deliveries. The usual Amazon subscribe and save which their own couriers usually deliver was split between themselves, Evri and Royal Mail on Monday.

How lovely to have a call with your old friends, Saundra. 59 years of friendship!

Have a good day all :)

Morning all, sun and cloud here and the current temperature is 14 degrees. I’m off to the hairdresser this morning for the usual cut and colour. I’m expecting a parcel too, Jo - some White Stuff tee shirts which were handled by Evri in the UK but thankfully are delivered by post over here once they arrive in Ireland. I need to make an appointment to get my nails done, maybe for tomorrow. Might do some ironing this afternoon.

Morning all :D

Showers.

Have a lovely video call with your friends in Oz Saundra xxx

It's not quite as hot here either today, more manageable, but I will miss sitting in the garden.

We need to pop over to the small Tesco later this morning, we're out of bananas and need to stock up on more salad. It's still too hot inside to be cooking, just the thought of a steamy kitchen makes me wilt

Hope you all have a good day xx

Afternoon! :)

Saundra, that's lovely :D xx

*Waves to everyone*

We've been up to Birdlip, the Royal George pub, for lunch with Em and Dave. It was impromptu - I was in town when Em messaged to ask if we fancied it, and Mick picked me up. It's a stunning day here, 24° and sunny. It's so nice up there, sat in their beautiful garden 8-) :) We didn't take Daisy, as Em and Dave were looking after their daughter's Vizlas - Ronnie and Reggie  - and we weren't sure if they'd get on.

Love to all :) xx
