Good Morning Sunday

Postby JanB » 06 Jul 2025, 07:25

Morning everyone

Another warm day and another 37C.

Done the watering, have coffee and will tackle the ironing

Steve's op went well and he will have the results in about three weeks. His train was nearly an hour late - unheard of over here - but he kept winging me with up-dates, so we didn't have too long to wait.

BBQ later.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning all, mostly cloudy here with the sun peeping through occasionally and the outside temperature is currently 14 degrees. I was hanging out washing at 6am and it was nice but cool - I did go back to bed! Currently lounging around looking up things to do on our visit to Lake Maggiore in September - so much to see, so little time! I’ll hit the shower shortly and we have no plan for the day. Miss Osc and Kellie called to see us yesterday evening, they are going to Wicklow today until early August, Michael and SIL went yesterday. But we’ll see them during that time, it’s not that far away.

Good morning.
Grey but warm here; we've just had a heavy shower.
Chicken for dinner, we are on our own today.
We don't want to be stuck in on our own today but it might end up like that!
Have a good day everyone.

Good morning all, it’s showery and we had quite a bit of rain during the night and earlier on this morning.

Nothing planned today, I’m just cooking a roast. Chicken and all the trimmings. I only decided on that because I thought Tom was staying but he’s got planning to do today for a trip he’s organised to the Black Country Living Museum plus a load of marking so went home last night. Joe’s back from the Lakes later. John’s thinking about going for a bike ride on the Chase this afternoon.

I’ve been looking for flights to Dublin for me and Tom, we only want to go for a day but they’re either inconvenient times which wouldn’t give us much time or expensive, probably not that expensive but pre Covid we often used to go for a day and never paid more than £20 return each  I’m sure that there are less flights though now.

Have a good day all :D

Morning all :D

Sunny right now, but rain and thunderstorms forecast for this afternoon.

We're hoping to get out in the garden for a good tidy up, but it will depend on the promised rain. Otherwise nothing much happening, roast chicken with salad for dinner, raspberry blancmange with blackcurrant jelly for pud.

Hope you all have a good day xx

Afternoon everyone :)

We've been jaunting about again, after Hereford yesterday ;) Stroud this time, to Jolly Nice with Em and Dave. Back to Glos, to B&Q for B to pick up some storage boxes, and I popped into Tesco next door for some ice cream for pud. We've been to D's and since getting home I've pegged out the bedding I stripped off this morning, and ironed another set to go on our bed. Baked veg with cold chicken for dinner.

Glad your friend's ok went well Jan :) xx

We had rain overnight too Cruiser xx

Exciting to be planning for your next trip Osc :) xx

Wish we'd get a downpour, Crommers! xx

Hope you can find some reasonably priced flights Jo xx

Fingers crossed for your weather Jen XX

Love to all xx

Some hilarity here today

Grumpy was vacuuming the pool and the head of the vac fell off. Jaaaaaannnnn, help.

So muggins stripped off and went into the pool, found it and gave it back

Just lit the bbq, took out what I thought were paprika burgers, to go with the normal one's, to find it's actually paprika cheese slices  :o Ferlippin' Aldi

Ah well. Or is it my fault for not reading it properly

Another friend who is in hospital with massive heart problems has been moved from Portimao to Faro. Once they have him stablised, they'll get him - by helicopter - to Lisbon and then he can have the op he's been waiting for.

Thank you Crommers.

The man is an idiot. His wife was a nurse and he was a paramedic and kept insisting he was "okay".
