Good Morning Thursday

Postby JanB » 17 Jul 2025, 07:01

Morning everyone

Sunny and warm. Although we will be 5C cooler today at 35C :D

Given myself a lie-in this morning, although I was up at 6.00, as normal

Off to do the watering and then I'm heading into Ourique as we need stuff for the pool. Trying to net some stuff from the bottom of the pool yesterday and the net fell to bits

Back for breakfast, ironing and a little cleaning.

And then rest......

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Sorry, typo earlier, should have been 35C - have amended

Good morning.

Another lovely day. 8-)

My plan was to meet my s-i-l Judy at 11 this morning at her house, she lives only five minutes from Jackie, spend a couple of hours with her then walk the ten minutes to the station and get the train back to Nottingham. :D

At The Fieldhouse last night having dinner with Jackie she asked what time my train was today.
I said I hadn't booked one on the app yet. Stay another day and night please, she requested. I happily agreed to.

I've now booked a train for 3pm tomorrow.

After seeing Judy today I'm going shopping at a huge Tesco with Jackie then spend the rest of the day relaxing with her in the garden. :D

Fish and chips from their local takeaway tonight for dinner. :P

Have a great day.

Good morning JanB and Ally,
It is 20C with clouds and no sun yet.

Going out for lunch with a couple from Leyland. We met three or four times each year. They are a few years younger than me and oth have had medical problems.

The pub where we are going to eat is called "The Sea View" even though it is about 15 miles from the coast. Willhav lots to talk about.

Back home will just be pootling.

Ally, I sometimes have fish and chips from a local chip shop.

Have a good day everybody.

Morning all, it’s raining here. Hopefully it’ll dry up later, it’s forecast to anyway, so that I can walk George.

John travelled back from Preston yesterday afternoon, he was back home at 4 so before dinner we decided to book the secure dog field at a farm down the lane for an hour. Never done it before but it was a lot of fun and gave George chance to really stretch his legs, we did some recall training too. Didn’t manage to wear George out though, later in the evening he made his feelings known that he’d like to go for a walk.

Not much planned for today, I need to do the Tesco order ready for tomorrow’s delivery and have a good hoover around and steam mop the floors.

Have a good day all :)

Morning all :D

A bit cooler, but nice and bright.

I loved the film yesterday, lots of action, great fun.

We're planning a walk along the seafront down to the harbour around lunch time, of course that will have to include a stop at The Royal Victoria Pavilion (spoons). I always need a break before walking back, as good an excuse as any............not that we really need one 8-)

Hope you all have a good day xx

Good morning-ish.
Cloudy here today but not cold. A couple of nights since we had heavy rain, which was welcome.
Enjoy your walk around the harbour Jen!
George does sound a bit lively Jo. :)
MrsC is going up to our daughters this afternoon and i need to get some salad bits for tonight.
Have a lovely day everyone.

Afternoon everyone :)

Ally, lovely that you can spend more time with Jackie :D xx

Hope you got the pool stuff, Jan :) xx

Have a nice lunch Cruiser, although you'll need good eyesight to see the sea from there :P  xx

I love the little George (p)updates Jo :D  .xx

That sounds very nice Jen :) xx

We had some rain overnight too, Crommers. Very much needed 8-) xx

A slight variation here, on our usual Thursday routine. Mick had an x-ray booked.for 11.45 at the new access centre down by the Quays - just routine, nothing to worry about. We went early as we weren't exactly sure how to access the Access Centre :P luckily as it turned out, as it was well hidden.

He was in and out in no time, so we scooted off to Tesco. No D today, as her visitors (our nephew and niece who are over from Qatar) are taking her out for the day :) We popped round last evening to say hello - Sarah is a very sweet girl, and absolutely beautiful :D

Home now, just got the washing on, and it's the last Pilates until September tonight.

Love to all xxx
