She's doing ok thanks Jo. She's been out to the field the last couple of days, not to go round it but still, a bit more of a walk.

The vet rang with the blood results yesterday; circulating red cells are in the lowest of normal range; new red cells are being made but not a lot yet.
So she's to stay on this dose of steroids for a month, if she can without the side effects getting too much.

Fingers crossed the side effects won't be so bad then. Bless her, she's such a worry isn't it - both her and Millie!

She has managed her usual trick yet again.
Yesterday the ravenous hunger was driving me - and her - completely round the bend. She wasn't really improving, was yipping and panting, not resting properly because she was so desperately hungry...she's been on the reduced dose since Monday so I was hoping it would make a bit of difference by now.

This morning I came down to find our Minnie was back :D She wagged at me, followed me to the kitchen, then came back into the l/room with me and my coffee, laid by me and rolled over for a tummy rub, yaaaay :D
And didn't go straight to the cupboard, panting and whining. Obviously it hasn't all gone away, but it's not driving her, and she can now rest too :)
Much happier now - both of us :)
