Aaaarrggghhh
Yesterday she was so much better. She had little meals of chicken and rice, and a few tiny handfuls of dogfood.
We went for a lovely walk once it cooled down, nearly half an hour, she really enjoyed it.
This morning came down to you-know-what all over the kitchen floor again :( And my back hurt so much I had to get Bb up to deal with it.

However. It wasn't orange. I think I probably gave her a bit too much food yesterday. Problem is, normally if her tummy's feeling bad, she just won't eat, which is fine. But the steroids make her so ravenously hungry she wants food anyway.

Bear with me, I've been thinking this through. The vets have differing advice (there are 3). The one we saw last kept referring to enlarged spleen, but when she had the x-ray and scan it was her liver, not her spleen, that was enlarged. Nowhere I've found online connects the orange and the spleen. It's connected to both liver problems and to colitis.
So, I think this latest episode is colitis.
The steroids: The vet before had told us to reduce the dose to every other day; the last vet said no, you only reduce once a week. Then when she had the blood results she said to keep her on the daily dose for a month.

Now, it seems to me we're in the situation where the dose of steroid is beginning to take over and will itself cause more problems. So, today we haven't given her any, and we'll do the every other day dose this week and see how she does.

On the plus side, she's lovely and pink - even her ears, which recover last :D
And in herself she's obviously feeling much much better. She deserves for us to get this right.
