A few weeks ago I thought is she limping? I watched her and I couldn't work out if she was or even which leg. So I gave her a thorough going over. I pulled her legs, pushed them, clipped her claws and she didn't seem at all bothered. So I forgot about it, but occasionally still thought is she limping
They went to the piggery whilst we were away. It is a sanctuary and pet boarding place and Debbie who runs it is lovely. She is very good friends with our vets and takes guinea pigs in that need syringe feeding and special care.
When I went to pick them up she said "now about your girl. I didn't want to worry you when you were away but when I went to feed them on the Saturday after you left I thought she is walking funny" So I immediately said "the intermittent limp" She said yes and it is her front left leg. She said "I didn't think it was serious enough to take her to out of hours" Thank God for that I thought. She gave her Metacam and said it seems to come and go. She said might be worth taking her to see Simon next week.
Well I still can't work it out. I have watched her and tonight I let them out of their run down the bottom of the garden, ran up the garden and crouched down and watched her running towards me, definitely no limp. She is eating, she is full of beans, it certainly doesn't bother her. But Debbie texted me earlier to say "have you made an appointment for Matilda yet?" and I feel bad saying no.
Would you take her or leave it for a bit longer?
