Hubby..it's time to face

Postby Ally » 12 Dec 2012, 15:56

..the fact you might need reading glasses!

For the last few month's Don has been getting gently ribbed..no, read that as full scale mickey taking..on the way he now has to extend his arms when he's reading a book or a paper. :) :)

For the last few month's Don has been gently denying..no, read that as flatly refusing..to accept this. :) :)

So then darling Don..why, when you've just tried to use your bank card to buy online was it refused 3 times???

Was it because you misread the 0 for an 8????

Oh I can remember that moment in time when my arms just weren't long enough any more to be able to read the print!

Ah, I remember the days.

I have a "magic zone" where my vision is perfect. It is just beyond my fingertips and not much further than the other side of my deck.... outside of the zone I need readers or binoculars. Soo frustrating.

I have to have it this large to read small print.
Have had to wear glasses when reading for several years.
Found I needed them when trying to read small print in a holiday brochure
Visit thew optician every two years. He said there was a very small change last time I went but it was not worth me changing my glasses.

i have glasses for reading as well but hardly ever use them. Interestingly enough cruiser I could read the small print you used OK.... I did have to concentrate a bit but I was able to read it without squinting.

But when I do wear my glasses, it does make a huge difference :)

I am long sighted so have no problems with reading, well in one eye anyway which is dominant..............I just can't see what's in the distance without my specs :geek:

I have three different ones for everyday use.
One for long distance, one for reading and the other for the computer.
The last time I went to the opticians earlier this year he said my eyesight was pretty much the same so my specs would last me a bit longer especially my computer ones. This was the conversation that then took place.
Me.........."What about my I-pad?"
Him.........."What on earth do you wear an eyepad for?"
Me............."I dont wear the b****r I look at it in bed and just wanted to know which glasses to use for it with it NOT being as far away as a computer."
Him realising that he had made a boob and looking VERY sheepish " Oh my God!!!!! Wait till I tell my wife that because I thought you meant one of thos eye pads when sleeping"
I finally got the answer that my reading glasses would be better for the I-pad. :D :D :D
