She's abit off it today. I think she's probably a bit sore from having the stitches out yesterday. And she was sick again this morning, although she kept the food down for the rest of the day until tea time when she was sick again.
I noticed that both times she was sick was after having the anti biotic tablet so I am going to ask the vet tomorrow if we can give her her stomach medicine, then her food and then the anti biotic. I wonder if it is that thats upsetting her tummy - but she has to have it to make sure infection doesn't set in.
Mick whisked her back up to the vets earlier. When he took her yesterday they left her little foot out of the bandage after removing the stitches. We hadn't realised but one of her toes had been hanging off and they stitched it back on. Mick stayed in when they dressed the wound and said that it looks pretty sore but the vet that he saw (who also happened to be the one that operated on her) said that it was looking really good and he is really pleased with it.
Anyway, when Mick came home from work this evening he commented how swollen her foot was. I hadn't really noticed as I hadn't really wanted to look too closely at it in the first place. The vet wasn't too concerned about it - she said that it could have been that the dressing was a little tight or that Millie kept licking it. So she has bandaged the whole leg and foot up again. We have to take her back tomorrow afternoon for her to have another look at it but she told Mick that it was looking good and not to worry (so I'm not really sure why they want us to take her back again tomorrow).
So she seems to be doing okay - a little subdued (but I think she is probably a little sore today) and keeping most meals down. She's slept alot today too.
