I don't tend to keep books (novels). In fact, I have kept only one - Go Ask Alice by Anon. It is about an American teenager who gets hooked on drugs and is her diary. She dies in the end. I kept it to make my girls read when they are older!!!!
I do keep some children's novels though - Harry Potter, St Clare's, Mallory Towers and a few older books from my childhood.
Otherwise I only have reference books, gardening books, knitting books and cookery books (and boy do I have a lot of cookery books).
My books are all kept on shelves in the alcove chimney breasts in the dining room except for a small pile of to be read novels that are piled on the floor in my bedroom.
Most of my books either come from the library or are on my kindle.
I am currently reading The 100 Year Old Man.....
