Social Services forcibly remove baby by caesarean section...

Postby Workingman » 01 Dec 2013, 18:58

.... in order to take it into care.

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/ ... vices.html

I was hoping the story was a mistake when I first heard about it, but "No" it is apparently true.

It is bad enough that Social Services could even think of this as an appropriate course of action, but the fact the High Court agreed sickens and frightens me.

If this happened to my baby I would have murder in mind.

Outrageous, is the hospital one and the same that is being investigated for neglect of patients?
What the hell is going on in this country. Time that the People showed some backbone and took action.

I did not know about it when it happened and it has been kept very quiet ever since, it has only resurfaced because LibDem MP, John Hemming, is raising it in Parliament.

Had it occurred in Eastern Europe or the Third World there would have been protests outside a county's embassy, the media would have had a field day, and there would have been many proclamations from the various churches and MPs.

For it to happen here debases the country.

The hospital where the caesarean took place is not mentioned Kate.

The only thing I can think of is that there must be more to this story than a woman having her baby removed from her because she has had a panic attack?
How can we do this though, to a women who is not a british citizen? What do the italians make of it?

I think you are right Cromwell. This story is being discussed today on a group page I belong to on Facebook, for HypnoBirthing practitioners. Many of them are also midwives or other health professionals and the consensus seems to be that there MUST be a lot more to this story than meets the eye!

It makes me think what the SS did is akin to the experiments carried out on women by the Nazi's in the last war. We have sunk into the pits I no longer recognise this country I was once so proud of.

A caesarean section to "save the life" of mother or baby or both I could understand..... for any other reason it is abhorrent, immoral, uncivilised.

The more I read about the legal system in this country, the more disgusted I become.

I think it is completely crazy that High Court Judges should have the power to sanction such grossly disgusting things.
They are not even elected to their pompous positions, so who the hell do they think they are? I'd hang the bloody lot.

The whole stupid legal system needs to be scrapped.
