As long as it hasn't started turning into a butter like consistency she should be able to recover it.
If she has any more of the unwhipped cream left, add a couple of tablespoons of that and whip it again (carefully this time). I would be inclined to do it by hand rather than with a machine. If she hasn't any cream left she can try it with milk. Ive never tried to rescue it with milk before but if she adds it in very small quantities at a time it might work.
If that fails she can use it as a type of ganache (again, as long as it hasn't started to form into butter).
If it has started to form into butter I would be inclined to keep going with it and just go for butter. Drain off any liquid and there you go - butter!
