I wondered that myself when I read it this morning.

We must be blessed with the most incompetent, corrupt, or stupid
set of politicians that this country has ever known.

I cannot think of one good reason why we should send money there.

We even send money to North Korea of all places !

We are well known for sending money to the mega rich countries who neglect their own
To despots like Mugabe, Ruwanda, and others who spend that aid on weapons after they have Shared some of the spoils.
.
Indonesia where babies died in public hospitals, children abandoned were starved and neglected
Until they died, on asking a doctor (millionaire) how they could allow this to happen we were told
That they could not afford to treat them if they did the hospital would be swamped with babies.
Billions given away by idiots successive governments as our own country people pay the price.
And it is going to get worse as we are seeing day by day.

I have little faith in anything this Government does, but absolutely no faith in them whatsoever when it comes to hand-outs to foreign countries. The aid budget should be slashed to £Nil for at least the next 5 years and the relevant Government department disbanded*.

* After investigation for corruption first, mind you ...

Shouldn't we have the right to demand to be told the reasoning behind the giving
away such large amounts of our money to such undeserving causes?

I'm beginning to think that our Democracy just isn't working because of the falling
ethical standards of so many people in all walks of life. You just can't trust anyone
today. What percentage of politicians of any party are dedicated to honesty and
fair play? A very small number I would say. The appropriate word for this malaise
is GREED, which is the root cause of most of the country's problems.
