Houses for sale

For our homes and gardens

It is quick, if it goes through, yes.
But there are hardly any houses for sale here under £300,000 so when they do appear they can be snapped up fast.
Although a while ago there were 3, in roads adjoining here, same kind of houses, and they were for sale quite a long time.
They were probably asking too much; next door had hers on the market for a while but it didn't sell and she changed her mind (again!). I think she was asking about £20,000 more but there's a ceiling above which they won't sell.

The odd few are a bit different, like the one at the end of our little road, its garage is attached whereas the rest are in a block.
And over the road are two with a slightly larger 'footprint'; the downstairs cloakroom is by the front door, which has a proper porch. Little things but still justify a bit more money.

We spent about a year looking for ours, and it was by far the cheapest as it needed the most doing, plus the people had paid a deposit on a new-build :)

Next door is now showing Sold STC on Rightmove too, very surprised that it's sold that quickly. Saying that though, when they put it up for sale the Summer before last it was apparently sold within a few days yet nothing happened.

The house across the road is for sale again too, I'm sure I posted the link to it last year. It was for sale and then it wasn't and then it was and then it wasn't and then the couple who lived there split up so the one women is now living there on her own (and the other occasionally drives past late at night...) and it's a big house for one person. When they were together there were five of them living there as the one had three sons but obviously they moved out when she did.

We've already looked at this one, but discounted it, because they won't budge on the price and we'0 have to buy the adjoining "monte" and land for about 10,000. As well as putting in a pool, it would be more than we really want to spend.

But as we're going to see some friends who live in the next valley next week, we'll ask them again, if the owners would move, even a little on the price.

We've also discounted this one

As it would cost too much to put in another bedroom and bathroom, as well as a pool.

We spent about 4 hours this afternoon, trying to find something we like, in the area we like

You'll get there Ton :)
Having originally planned on us spending a year in Bb's flat while we got it ready for selling, we were there 3 in the end. It took a year to find this one x

This one is another we're hoping to see, in April. Not too sure we want a renovated house, but worth a look-see.

The one at Panois has been taken off the market - the owners have decided after over 2 years  that they'll live in it during the winter and sell their home in France, buying a smaller one for the summer months.

Another couple who thought they could make a killing, buying land, building a house and charge a lot of money for it.

Not a lot Kaz, to be honest. We just want some space around us :D If we have too much, then a loval farmer will have to turn it over, but if it's about an acre or less, we can strim it, and have a veggie garden, a workshop for Grumpy, a pool and some fruit trees :D Oh and I suppose a "proper" garden around whichever house we can buy :D

And that one with the monte - according to our friends, it's only 5,000 euros, which is a bit better. Wepre back up there the week before Easter ish, so will know more then. We're meeting the owners for a chat :D
