Frank I saw what the MP said, and for once agree with a Tory
It was refreshing to hear a politician speaking his true mind for once - obviously his anger got the better of him, and who can wonder?
The local news here runs this story every night, as their main feature, and last night it was live from the Levels - the sheer anger and upset of the people is something else
Truly heartbreaking.....One woman angrily describing how her whole family have been split up since her house flooded, her children and husband living with different friends and relatives...she was obviously distraught but staying brave until suddenly she announced plaintively "I haven't even got any clothes" and burst into tears
The publican with a huge Land Rover who was ferrying people in and out to work and school, bringing in shopping, was asked what he thought of Mr Cameron (finally) visiting, was he pleased the PM was here "Oh yes, we find the PM's visit a big help and comfort" "The reporter nodded and said "Really?" "No, not really........." said deadpan but very bitterly, straight to camera......
The farmer, driving the reporter as he was being interviewed, who had been sleepless for two nights, trying to rescue his livestock, who kept bursting into tears on camera as he was so exhausted and distraught he hardly knew where he was..............
