Holiday booked

Postby Kaz » 11 Feb 2014, 17:36

for Pepper and FraggMonster :D :D They are booked into the Teckels boarding kennels just outside Gloucester, for 9 days while we are away 8-) :D :D We go on the Saturday to Gatwick, fly out very early on the Sunday and are not due back until late afternoon/early evening on the following Sunday - and the kennels close at 4pm so they will stay the extra night 8-) Teckels has a great reputation locally, plus as they are also an animal sanctuary and rescue they are used to rescue dogs, so will understand my Fraggie 8-) 8-)

Hope they behave themselves, they are in a 'double' kennel :?

It's always a worry when we go away isn't it. The double kennel sounds like a good idea and I'm sure the two of them will be glad to have each other for company.

I hope so - they act like typical 'brother and sister' really, as they might scrap between themselves a little but woe betide any other dog that tries it ;)

I'm sure they'll be fine Kaz, and it's just good to know they're safe while you're away :)

It is! Ironically if it had been a week later Becks would have been home from uni and could have looked after them at home! The first year we went to Corfu both Becks and Pepper went to Doreen's for the week, and last year Becks was here attending Hartpury so Peps was fine here with her, but no way could we expect D to have both dogs, it would be far too much for her!

Peps has been in Kennels once, in 2010 when we went to Lanzarote, but I am a bit worried that Fraggs might think we've abandoned him and sent him back to a rescue....but the lady at Teckels assured me he'd get lots of love :D :)

He might think he's been abandoned, but I think that's the case with any dog (or cat). They usually settle in just fine.
The only thing that really matters is that they're safe and looked after, and the second you collect them they forget you've abandoned them :)
