Laptop + Tablet ?

Postby Aggers » 12 Mar 2014, 17:05

Today I was using my laptop and Mrs A was trying to come to terms with her new Android Tablet.

We both had some unusual problems and came to the conclusion that it was because we were
both connected by Wi-Fi to the same BT Hub.

Are we right in this assumption? If so, is there an answer to the problem.

John, my laptop and tablet run slowly on the Internet when both are connected to Wi-Fi, but when I plug my laptop in to ethernet they are fine. I suspect a router problem, but have not done anything about it yet.

We don't seem to have any issues like this, and sometimes there can be four of us here all either using laptops or tablets!

We don't have any issues with ours - and bare in mind that we often have one ipad, one laptop, two ipods and one iphone all connected at the same time!

The only time it ever seems to run quite slow is if we are also connected on to the wireless network with the Sky tv by downloading a film. That does seem to make everything run a little slower.

We are with Sky.
