I was thinking the other day about the things we used to eat when I was a young man.
How things have changed!
If we could travel back to those days we would certainly have to mind what we said.
Curry was just a surname.
All crisps were just plain.
Atakeaway was a mathematical process.
Pasta had not been heard of.
Rice was for a milk pudding and not a main course.
A Big Mac was for rainy days.
Oil was for lubricating, Fat was for cooking.
Baked Beans were only made by Heinz.
Sugar cubes were only for the wealthy.
A chippy was a carpenter.
Tea bags were unheard of.
Coffee came in a bottle and was called Camp.
You made tea with tea leaves.
Yoghourt was something only the French ate.
Pizza was where the leaning tower was.
We didn't know that fish had fingers.
