Oh for Gawd's Sake!!!

Postby Ally » 15 Jun 2014, 12:13

I am having a rant!!

Coleen Rooney is flying all the way to Brazil this week with 2 very small children.

She plans to take Kai, four, and one-year-old Klay to England’s second match against Uruguay in Sao Paulo on Thursday.

‘Klay hasn’t got a clue, as he’s too young, whereas Kai knows he’s going, but I don’t think he gets the importance of it being the World Cup and how big it is,’ she said.
‘He seems excited, even though he’s not that into football.’

Coleen said: ‘I don’t want the boys to grow up and say, “How come you never took us to watch my dad play in the World Cup?”.’

Errr..because you were too young would be my answer!!

Because if you thought I was going to drag you half way round the world to watch your dad kick a ball around in stifling temps then you're up a gum tree!

Here...watch the DVD.

Dad had a stinker against Italy. What will Coleen tell the boys if Woy drops Dad for the Uruguay game?

"Dad was crap, so he's not playing... Who fancies a double Big Mac with extra chips, I know I do."

Actually I'm with Coleen, mind you I usually am I like Coleen.

People drag babies younger than one all over the world, and stay in far less luxury than she will with her children. I doubt Rooney will play in the next world cup, so yes, at least they can say they were there

I'm with MM on this.

Having flown to Argentina several times now, it is a much harder flight than Brazil. Also there is this. They will get a car to take them to the airport, priority first class check in and security followed by a first class lounge.

Once they get on the plane, they will take their comfortable first class seats. Entertainment will be provided for the children. Drinks when needed and lie flat seats for a snooze.

Arrive at the other end and off in another limo to the villa. Where the children can eat, drink, sleep, as they wish, all with the help of nanny's if required.

That is what money is for, to make life more comfortable, not to heap it in a big pile and look at.

I have this experience with my younger grandson who travelled with us extensively. The older child may or may not remember the experience when he grows up, but will certainly remember it over the next few years. Even with this privilege, this is something special. OK so the younger child is not going to remember it, but, then again, the family is together. That is how families travel.

Contrast the screaming and uncomfortable children, cooped up on the London-Aberdeen day train to go and "be with Dad for the summer".

In my opinion the daily hatemail has an awful lot to answer for. It's why I almost never read it.

I am with MM and Suff on this one.
It is their lives and their money and it is up to them how they spend it.
I admire the fact she is taking the little ones with her and not gone swanning
off on her own for the tabloids to follow her and film her every move and bikini
Good luck to them and i just hope they realise how lucky they are to be able to do this :D

But she will have the tabloids following her..and her little ones..whatever she does.
Wherever she goes.
Whatever she wears.

She covets this and that is her decision.

Yes..it is her money, she can choose to do what she likes and spend it on what she likes.

I'm sure she does realise she's lucky to have the lifestyle she has.

I just know, no matter how much money I had, I wouldn't choose to haul my young babies halfway across the world to be in the same place as their daddy was playing football.

Let's be honest...at 1 and 4 they'll probably be asleep in their mum's arms anyway.

Actually Ally I am not sure she will. I think the World Cup per se is bigger than one wife and her two children. Rooney is not the star over there, there are bigger and better players than him.

Coleen is no Victoria Beckham either

I wouldn't bother uprooting mine either, no matter who luxurious the travel, and I also think they are far too young to appreciate it. She is probably doing it for show :? ;)
