Is this wrong to laugh...???

Postby Ally » 28 Nov 2012, 13:06

As I posted earlier my Domestic Goddess duties were completed this morning whilst singing along to Elvis and with the minimum amount of fuss. :D :D

I am in the garden now listening to Don puffing, panting, swearing(!!) and generally acting like a grumpy old man!!

And the reason??

He's cleaning the filter of the hoover. :o

Laugh away! I have also noticed that men (the little dears :P ) do make such a meal out of simple tasks

I don't need to be Miss Marple to work out when Don has hoovered!!

The furniture gets put back miles away from where it should, he leaves the doors half closed..grrr...and puts the chairs back all wrong in the dining room!

I'm not moaning though..I hate hoovering. :x :x

Trust me Di..he does a far better job than me!!

Thorough he likes to call it!

I have trained my brain over the years to believe moving furniture merely to hoover behind it is a very bad thing!

John's "thorough" when he hoovers...I think it's just because it's a novelty experience for him

Amen to that   Apparently, if I ask him to "hoover" that doesn't mean moving furniture, only if I ask him to "hoover the house" - figure that one out    Still, it's better than him not doing any hoovering at all!

my sympathy is with you...this morning after taking the dog out for an hours hike (my choce) I returned at 8am and immediatly took down the nets, put them on to wash while I cleaned all the windows, hoovered and polished, ironed and put the curtains back up and finally put the washing away, the sweat was dripping off my eyebrows so I told himself that I was sitting down with the paper and cup of coffee, his reply...."If you're making a drink, I'll have one"!
I'm just waiting for a friend to come round and help me remove the body!!!

I hoover once a month regardless of whether it is needed or not - some of us men have standards you know. :P

However. if an item does not have its own means of articulation it stays firmly where it is... unless it's something that needs hoovering up, obviously.
