Michael Gove has been moved to Chief Whip.

Another Education Secretary bites the dust.

The NUT seem rather chuffed about it .....

Pleased to see that (so far) no return to Government for Mr Plebgate; neither did he get the nod for the EU Commissioners job either, which had been touted.

He obviously didn't get his sums right or he wasn't the teachers pet pupil.

This will be spite from Cameron, over the Gove/Theresa May business recently....DC just cannot bear it if people don't do as he wants! Big bully! Not that I am a fan of Gove particularly, but this is classic Cameron

Compared to Blair, who people believe quite literally had an analyst murdered for standing against the "party line", or Brown who engineered his way into #10 by backstabbing Blair at every opportunity and who's aids were, quite literally, at war; Cameron is a pussycat.

Gove and May are professionals (Supposed to be), in the public eye. Whichever one of them started this silly spat and caused the trouble had to move and be demoted. Now we know who it was. In that I believe Cameron to be fair.

Yet here we sit, with the press and many others, comparing Cameron and his generally fair government with the last lot. Who were, in my opinion, the most corrupt government the UK has seen since general emancipation.

I absolutely refuse to put the two governments in any comparison at all. One, relatively, stands on a tower or integrity and scruples. The other wallows in the cesspit.

The key word in that quote, to my mind, is "relatively".

If I am comparing the two Governments, for example, I would say that both are guilty of ruining people's pensions, Brown by his tax rebate grab and Osborne by his capital withdrawal free-for-all. And looking at public finance, Blair with his overspending and Cameron with his draconian cut-backs.

To continue your cesspit metaphor, I would argue, Suff, that both governments (not just one), have left the ordinary punter firmly in the mire.

Thank god he's gone is all I can say.

Though far too late for some of schools he's screwed up!
