That is a gorgeous house Jo, and yes the garden and the view are fantastic. I can't help thinking though, looking at that view, that somewhere there is a hill to climb

Lottery ticket time! My dream house is for sale. It's in Bude and we always park by these houses and they overlook my favourite beach, they're just a minute walk away in fact. Funnily enough it resembles our house a little at the front if you did away with the balcony.

It probably doesn't have the prettiest view as it overlooks a small car park and a beach shop and cafe but the location can't be beaten (unless it was maybe in Greenwich Village or the Lower East Side )

Jo that's almost identical to the building Bb's flat was in - but it was just the first floor
Plus this one doesn't look as if it's about to fall down

That overlooked a car park, there was just that and then the road between us and the clifftop, and actually it's ideal as it's quiet at night and gives you distance form the road

I would love to live by the sea, but have something smaller and a bit more cottagey in mind.....one of those fisherman's cottage types

I wouldn't mind either as long as it was by the sea It's just that this one is by a lovely beach, it's just a short walk from the town centre but a lot of people don't bother with it and go to the main beach - we counted less than 30 people on there on one very sunny Bank Holiday Monday a few years ago. There are cliffs and rocks which make it pretty spectacular when the weather's rough but the tide goes out leaving a massive sandy beach and then you can walk quite a distance up the coast and barely see a soul.

It was very badly converted Jo - a long time ago- didn't have a proper kitchen and you couldn't really make one.

We swapped the fantastic sea view for a proper house and a garden, it was a good deal but I do miss just crossing the road and down the zigzag to the walk all along the front.
