The end is nigh

Postby Rodo » 01 Aug 2014, 12:57

A killer solar superstorm is going to destroy the world.

I have already started drinking all the wine in my wine rack.

All of that chocolate in the fridge isn't going to eat itself is it?! And it'd be a shame to leave it to melt....

Don't fret, it could happen at night when we're all asleep.

She bought it in specially....

One of these comes up every few years..... "What if". Life is much more mundane. We don't need solar storms or massive meteors. We're just going to slowly but surely exterminate most of the life on the planet, including ourselves...

A much more cheery thought :!: :?:
There are 10 types of people in the world:
Those who understand Binary and those who do not.

An event such as this has been on the cards for years. In my youth I seriously studied
this subject, particularly the eleven year solar cycle. For years now this has been on a
very low level, so there is every possibility that an massive solar eruption is now likely.
This is why I have always been concerned about mankind putting so much trust in I.T.,
for even a relatively minor solar eruption could prove fatal to computers. But a major
eruption, which is now possible, could have much more serious consequences for us all.

But there is nothing we can do about preventing it, if it's on the cards. Just eat, drink,
and be merry.

Ah, problem solved!

It was the Express !

Their headlines seem to consist solely of Madeleine McCann and the weather.

I'm waiting for the headline.....MADDY RESPONSIBLE FOR HIGH WINDS AND MULTIPLE DEATHS BY SOLAR FLARES.
