A man in women's clothing.

Postby Workingman » 12 Aug 2014, 17:32

Former boxing promoter Frank Maloney now wants to be known as Kellie.

Np problem. If he wants to dress in women's clothes, wear a wig and makeup, and be called Kellie who is anyone to question those things. But for the media and the liberalati to pretend that he is now a woman is perverse and a travesty.

He might be dosed up with drugs to make him look (something) like a woman, but without them he would still be Frank. Without artificial means his body could never produce the hormones and enzymes to make him a woman. That would even be the case if he had a womb, ovaries and uterus transplant. OK he might have had his male bits removed and a sort of vagina created, but he will never, ever, be able to get pregnant and have a baby.... a pelvis transplant would also be needed.

It must be dreadful to be born of one sex, yet have the feelings of the opposite sex, and, yes, these people need help, but it would be more honest if we accepted that and accepted them for what they are rather than pretending that they have somehow morphed into the opposite sex. Nothing can be further from the truth.

When I was Agony Aunt for the Mature Times I had numerous posts from Transvestites and
those who were suffering with this problem, indeed I had a close Dutch friend who lived a life of misery
Convinced she was a man trapped in a woman's body. Her brother was gay, he held a very high government position committed suicide.
A tragic family. A tragic end for them both. The publicity does not help.

I think people should be allowed to live their lives the way they wish, as long as it's hurting nobody else. If this boxing chap wants to be a woman, then why can't he be known as one? Who is it hurting?

Life must be misery, being convinced you are the wrong sex :?

Oh dear, a hornet's nest. I thought that I had made it clear that I support people who wish to dress differently, behave differently, and be known differently, from their birth sex. They deserve our support and understanding and have every right to live out their lives as suites them so long as it hurts no one else.

I have a cousin who was a tom-boy from an early age. By the time she was in her mid-teens she had taken exclusively to wearing boys/men's clothing. At the time there was a song 'Georgie Girl' and that was how she became known. Eventually that turned into plain old George. To this day she is known as George, wears suits, brogues and a flat cap, sips pints with her mates and talks football, cars and lots of other 'man' stuff. She is happy.

My beef is with the medical profession, and sections of the media, who claim to have changed the gender of a person when they patently have not. Their insistence that gender change is possible will draw in those who are unsure about their own and put them through surgery and a life on drugs in order to make them feel 'right' - this what is happening to Frank Maloney. Should he ever stop taking the drugs/hormones, for whatever reason, his natural body will attempt to revert back to type, with all the problems that could bring. Thankfully, 'George' will not have to suffer that fate.

Thanks Kate, I didn't think that either you or Kaz did, it's just that I felt a need to explain.

I got what you meant :)

Of course you cannot change someone's DNA, someone born with a male body will always have that, but I think those who have gender realignment do so as they want to have the characteristics that the drugs will bring? Nobody makes them do it, and those who are happy to just cross dress can carry on doing so ;)

Don`t quite agree with you Kaz, the subject is very complex and the need to change can be due to the altering balance of steroid hormones with age which control lots of things. Particularly in people with a double X. Everyone is female at the first cell division and the ;possibility of being male only crops up at about six weeks or so.

The chromosomes you are born with do not change from xy to xx though, or vice versa :)

It is the case that people are born with the confusion of the physical body of a man and the mental abilities or attitudes of a woman, and vice-versa. Psychologists have tried many treatments to alter the mind-set of these individuals, with devastatingly negative results. Now, through medical advances, we are trying the opposite approach - to alter the physical aspects of the patient. The results will be the same and the victim count as high.

Frank Maloney didn't need to be 'gender changed' or 'gender realigned' or whatever those might mean. That is what he has been advised to do by those with an agenda. All he needed was to be allowed to live his life as he wanted. What is wrong with that?

I feel sorry for the guy. Not because he wants to live out his life as a woman, but because the medical profession has convinced him that he can be a woman.... he can't. And, of course, the media wants to make a few bob out of his tragic condition.
