Tino is fine now PP. Still on enforced lead walking and not too far, but much much better. He has to be walked on a harness as a collar would be too much for the disc in his neck.

I hope the kitten settles in with all of them

That's good news about Tino, Shell. I'm glad he's so much better.

The kitten arrives tomorrow apparently. It was to be today but something cropped up. I'm looking forward to seeing it and finding out what it's to be called. It's coming from a friend of my dil's sister and they don't know what colour it is or what sex it is (!) so they can't pick a name until they see it. All they know is that it is 8 weeks old, which in my opinion is too young to be away from its mother, but I'm sure it will be OK and it will have lots of love. They say you don't get to pick the sex or hair colour of your own child, so why should a pet be different? Who can argue with that? :D

Agree with the 8 weeks being a bit young, but as you say it will have lots of love and provided it has lots of company it should be fine.

What a refreshing way of looking at this - if only everyone was like that. You'd be surprised how many people chose a pet because it matches the décor of the house and then think it's quite OK to rehome them because they've changed the colour scheme of the lounge

Meet Snowball. Now 9 weeks old and very sociable and friendly but she has very sharp teeth and claws so they are being firm with her when she nibbles or claws. she has the most enormous ears for such a tiny little thing.

She is gorgeous, but I bet there is some oriental blood in there with those ears
