6,000 condemned to slavery in Britain.

Postby KateLMead » 09 Dec 2013, 07:30

We know about the gang masters, the brothels that have just been raided in Soho and throughout UK, often ignored by the police, those forced to live in shocking conditions, forced labour, the young girls who come to U.K every day arriving at Victoria thinking that they have come to UK . Those little ones bought to be abused by their owners and those supposedly
To fill domestic posts, on arrival raped, threatened, drugged and terrified forced into prostitution, beggars pickpockets
All living in fear along with those children who suffer forced marriages. Yes come to Britain the country where those human Rights protect you.
.6,000 just the tip of the iceberg

It is not a priority, for most of the time it is a hidden crime. However, we do get the mandatory "Blitz" every so often, as with the recent Leeds and Bristol raids, to make it look as though it is being tackled.

Not so many years ago government departments, including the Home Office, were employing illegal immigrants on below minimum wage as security staff and cleaners. It wasn't their fault, though, as the workers were employed through an agency. I am not sure if there were any prosecutions or deportations, I suspect not.

There is also a problem with defining "slavery". Some Middle Eastern and North African folk do not see it as slavery to employ household staff on a pittance when those staff are given board and lodging and food in nice homes, with the odd bit of spending money thrown in.

A report by the Centre for Social Justice calls for the creation of an Anti-Slavery Commissioner to co-ordinate the many different agencies dealing with Modern Slavery because it recognises that a definition of the crime is hard to pin down. It also calls for a Modern slavery Act to bring all the various forms under one legal framework.

It hasn't been taken to task Frank.. The odd bit of publicity means nothing, the police know where the brothels are throughout UK, they do nothing, and on the odd occasion raids are organised to give the impression that they are doing their job. A couple of years ago I was with my daughter in London, a very pretty girl was standing on the pavement crying,
We then saw her minder standing a few yards away. The girl was beside herself and I went to go and comfort her and ask whether I could help her. I was quickly pulled back my my daughter who saw the minder making a beeline for her. These girls are at the mercy of these gang masters. It is Terrible..

The root cause of the problem is that the police just aren't doing the job they are paid to do.

They can send hundreds of policemen to football matches every Saturday, but when it comes to
dealing with-real crime they plead lack of resources. They want a damn good shake-up.

How right you are this abuse is now being televised "Stop Slavery"!!
What has been done to date about this disgusting situation "Absolutely NOTHING".
Children as well as adults being sold , from the Eastern Block bought to beg and become pick pockets. slaves!
Today's news, 38 men women and children found in a container, one dead. Gang masters pocketing up to £3,000 per individual.
We have allowed this filth amongst other things to change the face of this country, bogus marriages, drug dealers, fraudsters criminals all here greeted on the welcome mat legal and illegal.
whose punishment when caught out is a small fine or a couple of months bed and breakfast and evening meal (choice of menu of course) in one of our jails.
It has been known that the police have free access to these massage parlours along with politicians. and any one else.
This country is in the hands of criminals "in all areas of our society" we have plenty of our own but the majority are foreign. A massive cost to the tax payer.
Like the ones who broke into the family of fours house in London half blinding the father.... We have Absolutely Nothing to be proud of. Time we got our act together.
