Mark Bridger appeared in court today on pre-trial. It was front page for a while, now dropped.

He denied three charges, including her murder and abduction following her disappearance and to the unlawful disposal and concealment of a body, but his barrister claims that he accepted that he was probably responsible for her death.

What the hell does that mean? And why has he not been able/forced to reveal where her remains might be? Search teams are still looking for her body.

Some things do not stack up. Either Bridger is another Ian Brady/ Myra Hindley type who knows where but will not tell, or there was some tragic accident and he really does not know.

What do you think will happen to her abductor? His mental health will be taken into consideration, He will have a nice warm room to live in! Three meals a day, in house entertainment. No bills to pay. Doctors. No dentist available when needed..
Our legal system is a farce.

I don't know Kate. His plea that "he is probably responsible for April's death" makes no sense.

I would change the law for such cases so that lie tests, hypnotism or even truth drugs can be used. He must know something, and his reluctance to tell must be breaking April's parents apart.

It makes no sense at all, but then this seemed like a strange case almost from the outset.
