Asylum seekers in Germany

Postby cromwell » 06 Oct 2014, 14:41

One German man who has turned his Hotel into a hostel for asylum seekers has been spat on and threatened by his fellow townspeople, according to the "I" paper. He has had to surround his hostel with a 15 foot high fence for the protection of the occupants. Far right neo-nazis surrounded the hostel until they were dispersed by the police. All very regrettable.

But - 25,000 people per month are claiming asylum in Germany. That's 300,000 a year! This can't go on. One asylum seeker according to the 'I' had crossed the Mediterranean on an open boat. I don't care if he crossed it on an open sandwich - we need to close European borders to this mass invasion, because that's what it is.

Why is it that such protests are always labelled as 'Far Right' or 'Neo-Nazi'? Yes, those groups often are at the front, and very vocal, but that does not make every protester an ally to their cause(s). Some, maybe most, are no more than locals concerned that their neighbourhoods, towns or villages are being overrun and turned into ghettos.

It is too damned easy for the left-wing media, such as "I", to spew out the epithets in order to stifle any serious debate. Go on any media run blog and you will witness people who make reasonable points about immigration being tagged as racists, xenophobes and bigots whilst simultaneously being marked down for their views.

You will also note that the self-proclaimed "right (correct) thinking" left-wing luvvies never offer any sort of solution.

I often wonder why British people are so amazed when they find out that the Bastions of Europe are far less tolerant of non ethnics than the UK....

Honestly, in my experience, it does not require Neo Naziism to cause this kind of reaction. Germans are pretty much wrapped up in their own lives, laws and communities. They are worse than little Englanders in many ways. This is similar all over the EU.

But, of course, to the press, Germans are "normal" so it must be the fringe elements....

Not in my experience spanning 30 years.
